Best vegan restaurant in Wellington - Edit
Nice ambiance and good food. We glad the lychee drink, chrysanthemum tea, mock duck bao, and satay chicken. Good quality ingredients and good prices! Far superior to Aunty Mena’s !

Good value vegan food - Edit
It was super busy when I was there, its only a small space but they had lots of takeaways. I managed to get the last table, the food took a little while, but didnt bother me as I wasn't in a rush. I ordered a starter and main but really didn't need both! The nasi goreng is just fried rice, non of the extras you'd get in bali, but a massive portion, so good value! Wish I had time to go back and try more.

Delicious food and good value - Edit
We visited September Vegan Food on March 2025. and had a great time. There was a wide choice of dishes which made if hard to choose but we eventually decided on satay skewers to start then mapo tofu (which came with rice) and curry noodle soya and potatoes curry. Everything was fresh and tasty and the portions were really big - we didn't manage to finish everything even though it was delicious. The prices felt very reasonable for the portion sizes. Would definitely recommend and would visit again if we make it back to NZ.

Nice pan-Asian vegan cuisine - Edit
I enjoyed the food that I had at this vegan pan-Asian restaurant in central Wellington.
Read moreThe pan-fried dumplings were delicious.
I was eager to try their 'bao buns' as I have eaten plenty of them in Taiwan. They tasted good, although not quite as good as back in Taiwan.
Prices are on-par with what you would pay at other restaurants.
Staff are friendly and service was prompt.
Pros: Good quality, friendly staff, nice vibes

Really tasty food! - Edit
Everything was delicious and the staff were so friendly and welcoming. There was a huge range of options on the menu but we tried the Satay “Chicken” skewers, BBQ steamed buns, Sweet n Sour “Pork” and Green Curry with “Chicken” and it was all super flavoursome and delicious. It’s a small unassuming but charming little restaurant. Would definitely visit again when in Wellington.

Mind your Manners - Edit
Honest, fresh vegan food prepared while you wait. The menu is huge, after some deliberation we went for the chicken satay and the chilli mapo tofu which were both presented with rice and absolutely delicious. There were enough leftovers to take back for a late supper that evening. Two Mains and soft drinks came to 55 NZD which was fine.

Delicious Vegan Asian Food - Edit
Great selection of all-vegan asian dishes. Making a choice was so hard! We had the dumplings, fried vermicelli noodles with tofu, and the Malaysian Herbal Soup for lunch. All dishes were delicious! 😋 And service was very friendly. Definitely recommend!

Gigantic portions and very tasty - Edit
I had the Singapore style noodles and a lychee drink, and it was terrific. Cooked perfectly, and the BBQ seitan was lovely in there. However - the portion size was twice the size a person of my size needs, so I would've appreciated the option to order a smaller or half portion. If you're two people for lunch, one of these noodle portions is probably enough to split! Or take the rest home with you. Sadly, I was on my way to the airport, so there'll be some food waste from my serving.
Read moreThe lychee drink was super fresh, with actual lychees in it. Recommend!
Pros: Food is lovely, Lychee drink, Music is not loud!

Sooo "chicken"y and delicious! - Edit
I had chicken and rice and my partner had a veggie hot pot 😊 I didn't have a clue what to pick on the menu, it all looked amazing! Just asked the server which one he'd recommend so I had the vegan chicken 😊 it was sooooo yummy!! I thought the rice would be plain but it has so much flavour! The veggie hot pot was definitely the favourite of the both though. The most chickeny non-chicken broth I've ever tasted!!
Read moreI'd say the only way that my dish could've been better would be if there were more veggies with the rice, but it didn't matter too much. So so nice!
Pros: Great vegan food, Chill, non pretentious vibe, Fairly cheap
Cons: Can't buy alcohol, Lack of veggies (but was my fault so it's fine!)

Just okay - Edit
Great to have a lot of options and a fully vegan restaurant! The veggie dumplings were an interesting texture that wasn’t my favorite and the red bean bun filling didn’t taste fresh. A decent meal and not the worst for sure. I might go again and try other dishes.

Fantastic vegan lunch - Edit
The food was delicious and plentiful. We had the "chicken" drumsticks for entree. Could have eaten a bucket full of them. So good. We shared the tofu laksa and the stir fry vegetables with rice. Both extremely large servings and wonderful flavours. And the vegetables were al-dente. I'm not a fan of crisp vegetables in Asian food. Didn't have any problems with that today. We will be back to try some of the other tempting sounding dishes on their menu.
