Incredible Vegan Mexican in NYC - Edit
Just had a phenomenal brunch at Sentir! The food, drinks, and ambience were all top notch. Our bartender Sheikh was especially cool. We got the steak & egg tacos, chicken quesadillas, and roasted Caesar salad. Wow! All vegan and delicious. Another great City Roots spot, we'll be back soon😄

Highly recommend!! We tried the crispy oyster mushrooms, pulled pork arepas, and chicken quesadilla — all of which were fantastic!

Only subpar dish was the coconut ceviche, it had limited flavor and just tasted like shredded coconut.
Servers were very friendly and personable, all around outstanding experience! Definitely one of the best vegan restaurants in the city and our favorite among the Guy Vaknin restaurants.

Good food, except for the experience with one of the waiters. - Edit
The food here was actually great, and the ambience itself could have been enjoyable, but unfortunately the service ruined the experience. Our waiter, Miguel, came across as very condescending and judgmental. At one point, he dismissed what we said with a “that’s exactly what I explained, what do you want me to do now?” which felt rude and unnecessary. Later, when I tried to be friendly while asking about ingredients, his response came with a sarcastic, “oh, if you would care for it, I probably would tell you the ingredients,” in a tone that felt belittling.

My partner and I came here for a date night and got the salmon crudo, chile relleno, tamal carne, roasted artichoke and side of rice and beans. It was an incredible meal! Our New Favorite Vegan Mexican Restaurant - Edit
My family has visited Sentir twice now, and we absolutely love it: excellent food, pleasant atmosphere, and great drinks. Collectively, we've tried the Sentir Guac (a little overpriced, but wonderful), the Carne Asada, the Grilled Chicken Enchiladas, the Chile Relleno, and the Cinnamon Churros. Everything was terrific, but the prices are not cheap. You get what you pay for: the best vegan Mexican food you'll ever have in NYC, for sure.

We went all out and ordered a bunch of appetizers, entrées, and desserts to share, and honestly, everything was on point. The flavors were thoughtful but not overdone, and each dish felt really well put together.

The entrées were rich and satisfying without being too heavy, and desserts were just the right mix of fun and refined. You can tell there’s a lot of care in how the menu is built. (I didn’t enjoy a dish that was wrapped in leaf with rice inside, but was still great). Definitely try the “chunk” and churros.
The vibe was warm and welcoming, and the staff made us feel well taken care of without being overbearing.

Just popped into Sentir for the fourth time. Almost every thing I’ve eaten here is delicious (minus the chickn Mole - I wasn’t crazy about the texture). I love Mexican food and this is some of the best in New York City. Even my non vegan husband loves coming here. The quesadilla is something special. Pabil and Chorizo tacos are perfect! Wonderful sauce on the enchiladas verde. Loved the key lime dessert too!

The Quesadillas!! - Edit
We had a 6pm reservation on a Friday night and were seated immediately. Service was kind and friendly. We ordered the empanaditas, the chicken quesadilla, and the birria tacos. Food came out insanely fast. Empanaditas had an interesting flavor profile and could have used more cheese inside. The quesadillas were incredible - no complaints at all and just so delicious. The birria tacos were good but I found them a tad bit spicy (though I have a very low spice tolerance). For dessert we had the churros and tres leches. The chocolate sauce was our favorite to dip with churros, and the tres leches was good but I would have been interested to try without mango. So moist and really flavorful! Overall a great experience and service was quick! #Veganuary

I enjoyed the chicken mole the most. The carne asada was good but it’s just Chunk Steak so it depends if you like that product. Both very filling and came with rice. Taquitos were tasty just a bit too expensive for what they were.
