Authentic Vietnamese food - Edit
We were lucky enough to get a table for two so we could escape the rain and have dinner - and we were lucky to have found this lovely place! We both had soup, Pho and a spicier one, and fried ice cream for dessert. Everything tasted just great and was the perfect comfort food for this rainy evening. Very friendly staff too!

Really really good food and very nice service. Listing here says vegetarian at the time of writing but it's all vegan nowadays from looking at the menu.

Amazing value vegan food - Edit
Best vegan Vietnamese i’ve had. The waiter gave me some great recommendations and was very sweet. Food came out super quick after ordering. They were having issues with the card machine when we went so it was probably quieter than usual but it was still a lovely atmosphere.

Absolutely going back - Edit
We had a lovely dinner there recently - a share box to start between two, and then I had the tofu/aubergine clay pot for my main. I was expecting green banana not aubergine so it was a bit of a surprise, but it tasted great. The rice is a little sticky - just how I like it, and the writing around the edge of the plate was in sriracha sauce. We’ll definitely be coming back again soon!

Highly recommended - Edit
Went there following a recommendation from our airbnb host. Super nice place in central Edinburgh, easy to find due to its light yellow color. They only serve vegan food. The staff was really friendly and the food was served quickly. The dishes were really good, we had fried rice and a dish with bananas and vegan fish chunks that were absolutely delicious! Enjoyed our stay there.

Delicious! - Edit
I ordered a main course (tofu with eggplant) and a starter (papaya salad). Both dishes were delicious, tasting just as I remembered them from Asia. Great, authentic food.
Read morePS. I don't know why the restaurant is labeled as vegetarian. I think everything on the menu was vegan, also the sign outside was labeled "vegan".

The Lemongrass and chili tofu was absolutely delicious! And I thought I didn’t like lemongrass. :)
Read moreThe stir fry noodles with vegetables was good, nothing crazy. Huge portions of both. Both very mildly spicy.
Atmosphere was great. Spacious and quiet, with outlets by the table! (Not sure if that’s standard in the UK, but it thrilled me).
I’ll have to come back to try the dessert and the caramelized tofu with green banana… and everything else.

Good all vegan Vietnamese - Edit
All vegan Vietnamese. We had the pho, banh xeo, and the stir fried noodles with tofu and veggies. Good sized portions, everything tasted great. The banh xeo was super crispy (more than I’ve had in the past) but it’s a great texture contrast to the lettuce, tofu and veggies. Recommend.

3 star review.... - Edit
...because the food is expensive, truly expensive, too little raw fire in the food. 🔥 is required toss three chopped chillis in to the pot and make a spicy curry. The manager isn't friendly and there was an odd , anxious, atmosphere around the staff team.

The food here is fresh and delicious, and the portion sizes are excellent. They have only lost a star because the fried ice cream is now vegetarian instead of vegan. 100% recommend!

Straightforward venue, big and tasty starters! - Edit
We have been a couple of times, mainly drawn by the big tasty starters. Most of the starters we tried were fried will try the fresh rolls next time. As noted in other comments, the venue is pretty simple, not a lot of atmosphere but clean and good location. Not found the mains as great but will keep working through the menu!

I thoroughly enjoyed my tofu coconut curry here. So tasty, full of rich flavours but not too intense or overwhelmingly spicy. Staff didn’t seem too interested though just going about their routine.

Phee Phy Pho Phum - Edit
Had a very pleasant lunch here on a wonderfully brisk and delightfully biting cold 1st of December day. I’ve always felt the city of Edinburgh is at its best in the winter months. The Special Pho Noodles Soup was fragrant and full of succulent tofu, vegetables and vermicelli but lacked a good kick. Maybe I was expecting more of a Ramen. We also ordered a tofu coconut curry with delicate chunks of sweet potato, aubergine and potato in a fragrant lemongrass infused coconut curry sauce. The bill came to just under £40 including two glasses of wine. There’s still some confusion as to why Sen Viet Vegan is categorised as vegetarian on Happy Cow but I’ll leave this to the fine Happy Cow ambassador of Edinburgh to adjudicate on.

Great food, poor service - Edit
We've eaten here before and were looking forward to the return. The starters were huge and excellent, the mains equally good with the new tofu and green banana curry well worth trying.
Read moreUnfortunately after finishing the mains, we had to wait for almost half an hour while the 'server' chatted with his mates and looked at his phone. When we finally got his attention he simply brought the bill; he didn't offer teas, etc. and he didn't clear the plates. A disappointing end to a fine meal.
Pros: Some of the best vegan food in Edinburgh.
Cons: Inattentive service.

Fantastic vegan restaurant. - Edit
This is a fantastic casual dining restaurant, perfect for a relaxed meal with friends.
Read moreThe service is friendly and attentive.
The food, all vegan, is really tasty.
We had the spring rolls and Ha Long cakes as starters and both were excellent.
Mains were a Sweet and Sour dish, and Lemongrass and Chilli Tofu (really recommended).
We had deep fried ice cream and sweet Mango spring rolls as dessert. Both were nice but the spring rolls were especially good.
Portions are a good size and the prices are very reasonable, especially for the quality of the food.
We noticed from overhearing the staff greet people that several other tables were returning guests. That’s always a sign of a good restaurant.
I’d definitely eat here again. Highly recommended.
Pros: Great food., Friendly staff
