I visited this restaurant with two vegan friends. We had two starters and a maki plate to share, and a main dish bowl each.
Read moreThe starters were quite good, but could have been more refined. For example, the crispy avocado - basically deep fried avocado - with some kind of mayo sauce. It's pleasant to eat, but a bit too much 'in your face' kind of taste. Like good fast-food, in a way. And this didn't match how the food looked like, much more refined in its style.
The same goes for the maki: pleasant, but would benefit from allowing for more subtle differentiation of the ingredients used. Disclaimer though: I lived ten years in Tokyo, so I might be quite picky about sushi and Japanese-like food.
The main dish was disappointing. The bowls are huge, the ingredients are of good quality... but their combination doesn't transform the whole into a dish one would crave for. Sure, you won't be hungry anymore after eating one of these bowls. But neither will you feel like coming again to try out the others, or bringing along a friend to share the joy of a tasty meal.
In essence, that's the sentence summarizing food served at Sen: good quality, but forgettable.
Oh, and service was sub-par: we waited way to long for our food, starters were brought with the mains, and one of the employees smoked outside during his break, but with the door left open, and it smelled like tobacco for a few minutes.

Wir waren heute zum ersten Mal hier und kommen definitiv wieder. Es gibt leckeres Sushi und Bowls - alles vegan. Das Restaurant ist sehr schön und gemütlich eingerichtet die Bedienung super freundlich. Man kann auch draußen sitzen.

I would say that a friendlier attitude would really come a long way. I feel that vegan places often are visited by international guests, so why not offer an English menu? The appetizers, as promised in many reviews really were very tasty, but so greasy. The first one splashed grease all over my pants. After that squeezed them first. The bowl was less exciting, because it was mainly noodles without seasoning. Liked the banana cake that wasn't super moist, but was very cold. I would return, because of the many options and I enjoyed the food.

Welcoming, fully vegan Asian restaurant with a relaxed vibe. Been there twice already, and I have to say that their starters are amazing, while some mains can be a bit underwhelming (the Golden Lotus soup with rice noodles is not exactly exciting). But starters? Wan tans, avocado wedges, and rice crisp covered tofu are the crowd favourites.

Read moreThis place is my favourite! I'm from San Diego, California and it scratches a homesickness itch I can't explain. Everything is always fresh, delicious, interesting and generous. Beautiful colors. Totally vegan! The staff is super friendly. The restaurant is comfortable and clean.
Between my husband and I we have gone through many of the dishes already and most of the sides. I would say my personal favs are Sushi Wild, Du du, Red Magic and that subtle rose tea! But everything has been so yummy and I can't wait for my next visit.

First time here and I tried two different starters and a tea and they were all brilliant. The food was beautifully presented, so well seasoned and authentic and the staff were really friendly. Have not had such a delicious cup of fresh tea in a long time (the rose flavoured). Cannot recommend enough!
