I was very sick when I came here, so I kept it simple with a bean burger. Though I was stuffed up and couldn't taste everything too well, the textures were perfect, from the crispy fries to the melted cheese to the dessert (ice cream, which was more of a sorbet and a hot brownie-like chocolate cake). Server spoke English very well and service was prompt and friendly. Would definitely return here next time I'm in Lima.

We went there to try daily menu which is quite cheap (14.90 soles), the food was delicious! It is really worth it! Nice presentation, tasty and at the end you don't have place for anything other.. we really appreciated everything here. Even my sceptic boyfriend (meat eater) loved the food which is not so often when I bring him to vegan places..

Superb Vegan Food in Miraflores - Edit
Quite possibly the tastiest vegan food that I have come across in South America and hands down the best vegan burger that I have ever tasted in my life. I got the quinoa burger and it was perfect and the fries were (finally!) so good! After six months of soggy South American fries, it was such a treat to get some crunchy whole-potato fries with a burger! I've heard that the black bean burger is also amazing.
Read moreI got the chance to meet the owners and they are incredibly friendly people that whip up DELICIOUS vegan food! The lunch special each day is about 15 soles and is well worth it! This is a family owned restaurant too!
If you dare, try the chocolate lava cake. It's decadent to say the least.

I had the best Lentil burger EVER!!!! Every succulent bite made me emotional. LBVS. If I was rich enough to fly back there, from the U.S. every month I would! My girlfriend had some type off flat noodle bowl that was amazing too. The desert was a chocolate cake , that when you cut it , chocolate oozed out. WOWZER! I forget the name of ice cream that came with it , but it wasn't vanilla or anything regular , it was amazing too! The staff and the owner were very nice!

My friend and I ate here tonight and he says the seitan burger is the best veggie burger he has ever tasted. The seitan cutlet was excellent also. And great pisco sours. Sous chef Gonzalo and the rest of the staff were wonderful and Gonzalo translated the menu for us non-Spanish speakers and explained the ingredients. Nice ambience also.

We ordered a appetizer of the day that was like a tostado with marvelous fresh toppings , fries with a house made dip ski, garbanzo curry and a seitan dish with mushroom gravy in a bed of puréed potatoes and drank natural fruit juice. We met the owners and their son, the chef, came and met us and helped translate and he offered wonderful ice cream as a gift because of my meal being a bit late. Great food, lovely patio on a quiet street. I esp. liked the seitan dish -- best seitan ever! The curry garbanzos was not as thrilling. Highly recommend! Great start to our first trip to Peru,

Some of the most affordable vegan food I've had. I went with some friends a couple of weeks ago and was really surprised how full and busy the place was. Nevertheless the service was great and the food was delicious. Very interesting food creations and would definitely go again for a quick lunch.

The location is in one of the most popular and touristy places in Lima. The place is clean, with a nice environment. The service is great. The food is amazing. What else can you ask for?.
Read moreMy experience there was incredible!! The only thing I would point out is that the dessert included in my menu was literally a little square with the size of my thumb I swear, but anyways.
They have a different menu everyday and they post it in advance on their facebook page. Their menu it's not big but it offers enough.
The price is not the cheapest but it's definitely not expensive.

Best Cheap Vegan Eatery in Lima / La Mejor Comida Vegana en Lima - Edit
In the past three weeks, I have been to Seitan three times, and it never fails to disappointment every time. The vegan lasagna was the best I've ever had in Peru, or anywhere else, the set menu during the weekdays is one of the best lunch deals at only fifteen soles for a drink, bread, appetizer, entree, and a small dessert. I highly recommend eating here any day of the week. Even on weekends when the set menu is not available, the menu has a great and still affordable selection of plates, appetizers, and drinks. Get the chocolate molten lava cake with lucuma ice cream, you will not regret it.

The food was very good; I especially liked the mushroom risotto. I had the pineapple dessert and lucuma ice-cream. I enjoyed the dessert, however the ice-cream was a bit too sweet for my taste, but I think it’s normal for Peru.
I would definitely like to come back next time I’m in Lima and try more things.

From the moment we called for a reservation we were greeted with positivity and enthusiasm. Santiago the owner and chef put on an amazing feast for my wife, my friend and I. We tried the spring rolls, potatoes and sliders for entrees followed by pasta, mushroom rague, crispy polenta and to top it off a fabulous pineapple cake/ desert and vegan chocolate cake with a peanut vegan ice cream. Family run, staffed and full of love - 5 massive stars!

Went there 2 times in March 2016 and will definitely go again soon. The restaurant offers vegan "Haute Cuisine" but with an affordable cost.
Read moreIn fact, the daily menu (S/15) is a fairly reasonable price for many restaurants in the area, but Seitan offers a VERY good quality. Even the meals out of the daily menu are not that expansive (around S/14-18, maybe more)
First time I had the chickpeas curry, which was good but with too much coco milk for me. The service was excellent also.
Second time I had the daily menu, which included bread (with oil, salt and a paste made from olives and almonds), starter (I had the pair of mini-nems, excellent and fresh), a main course (pasta and mushrooms sauce with a bit of asparagus, also excellent), a drink (pineapple juice) and a "postrecito" (very small dessert, much more like a promotion for the brownie they sell)
But what definitely got my attention and love is the "coulant de chocolate", the best I ever had (including in France) and that comes with a home-made ice-cream (lucuma, fig, strawberry, etc.). It is at S/12 which is totally acceptable for a dessert that good!
I really love the fact they succeeded to offer a very good cuisine but without putting high prices, I hope they'll be able to stay affordable for everyone because I'd enjoy to bring non-vegan friends there and prove them you can eat better than in any other restaurant in Lima and for a good price too.
