More than just seitan - Edit
This is a comfort-food place that offers food made with seitan as well as with other vegan ingredients. Thus, in addition to seitan dishes you can also get dishes made from soy, chickpeas, quinoa, etc. They offer a bunch of vegan burgers as well as pasta dishes, rice dishes, desserts, et cetera. The emphasis here is not on being uber-healthy, but on tasty comfort food (not fast food--the items take a while to prepare). What I had here certainly comforted me!

Read moreWe got the BBQ maple chicken burgers, they were really tasty but didn’t come with BBQ sauce, instead they’d be drizzled with a lot of maple syrup which made them very sweet, we asked for BBQ sauce which fixed the problem! Just a small tweak would make it better, I think maple syrup on the side!

We loved our dinner at Seitan Urban Dinner! One of the best Ceviche I had in Peru. Also I wouldn't agree that the food is too salty, I was there with my dad and he usually avoids using salt at all and didn't notice anything with his Lomo Saltado, it was as salty as the average so sauce is. We tried also the cauliflower and it was an absolute highlight! The portions sizes are huge, maybe skip the appetizer if you aren't starving ;)

This is an amazing spot to get phenomenal high protein, vegan meals. I’m able to get plates packed with tofu and seitan which is optimal for me. I first visited this place in 2022 during my first trip to Lima and enjoyed it then. During this last trip, it was my go to spot in Lima due to the quality of the meals and the great staff too. I told them I had visited this place 3.5 years prior and they gave me a free dessert. Can’t recommend this place enough.

Great visit to Seitán Urban Bistro, was definetely one of the highlights of our gastronomy journey in one of the richest places on Earth to eat, amazing Perú.

At the end, we were treated with a great chocolate cake.

I had the chance to try the traditional ceviche as entry and a sauteed rice with tofu as a main. Both delicious!

Nothing bad to say about the place! Staff friendly and food was good! Had the KFC (forgot to take picture) and I enjoyed it. It was basic but the seitan was very KFC-like 👌🏼

I’ve been to this restaurant as I wanted to try the vegan cheeseburger. Both the fries and the burger were delicious! I give 4 stars because I also tried the strawberry cheesecake but the taste didn’t fully convince me.

Seitan saltado was a heart-warming dish with balanced flavors but the chaufa con apanado was a bit bland. Got free samples from the kitchen which was a nice touch! The pisco sours were good as well.

We went here on a friend date on a Monday evening and it wasn’t too busy but it was nice. We shared the grilled ‘meat’-plate which was full of differently prepared seitan meats, it came with a few sauces as well. The meats itself were delish, I liked the sausage too. The aji-verde sauce I really did not like at all and I found the huancaina sauce to be mediocre; their spicy sauce was bomb though. It was a huge plate and since it’s advertised to be for two people I just wanna say that we - 3 people - struggled to finish at all and took home some leftovers. Another reason is also that it was just so much ‘meat’, after a while it just became too much and so heavy and we were deeply wishing for at least some (maybe even grilled) veggies on the plate, on the side, however.

When we first asked for a veggie dish, the waiter told us there isn’t one and we’re figuring now that he must’ve been new because besides more or less doing the work by ourselves on finding out which dishes we could work with, we also realized back home that they are doing poke bowls with lots of veggies in it. A little bit unfortunate but also understandable if someone’s new to the business. The plate that came after tasted quite well but also didn’t blow my mind.
All in all, I can recommend and I would come back but only to try something else.

Great service, very accommodating. The Parrilla for 2 actually could serve 4 and was beautiful and tasty, but just so much mock meats. We would have liked some lettuce and tomato on the plate or something. One of the sauces has peanuts as well (🥜) so make sure to ask. We were told the only vegetable dishes are the saltado and the chaufa, but a salad can be made (off menu). Now I remember they actually have poke bowls 😅 which I wish they would have said when we asked. The drinks were pricy, so we passed on those, but otherwise the food was quite good. I would recommend as a kind of v “steak house” restaurant. 😊 reminded me of Brazilian bbq.
