Tasty food, very limited seating - Edit
The food was very tasty but I had to get it to go as their was no seating available. The service was quite slow with only one barista and a lot of customers. It maybe that I turned up at an unusually busy time.

Could have been better - Edit
I got a hoisin seitan-filled bun, it was nice but you couldn’t even tell there was seitan inside. The split pea milk coffee was really nice. The one thing that put me off is that one of the servers seemed unwell, she was sniffly and looked like she had a cold, which was off-putting. It was also quite pricey so I couldn’t try as much as I would like. There wasn’t much seating either, a table or two more outside would be good

Overhyped - Edit
Maybe my expectations were too high but the pain au chocolat was dry and overdone and the server was rude. Have had better at multiple bakeries in Europe for much cheaper

Unreal!! - Edit
I absolutely loved everything here! My favourite was the feta pesto tomato galette so so good!!! Matcha cookie was also very good. They seem very quite compared to the bakery but I enjoyed this place even more as they had less queue more seatings and both sweet and savoury options.

Great place to have breakfast - Edit
We had breakfast here and everything was great. They didn’t have focaccia or toast which was a bit unfortunate because it would have been nice to eat something warm. Anyway food and drinks were tasty.

Go to this one if you want to skip the line - Edit
If you’re not interested in buying their famous pistachio cruffin (which I believe they only sell in their main location), you can go to this one instead, they have pretty much the same selection (but also have salty stuff). I wouldn’t rate it 5 stars because unfortunately they are victims of their success and it seems that customer service is not important to them, the staff wasn’t particularly friendly. Also, they don’t advertise anything about being vegan, which I guess is a good thing in the sense that people don’t necessarily notice that it’s vegan & delicious, but on the other hand it does not give any credit to veganism.

Delicious - Edit
First food stop in Amsterdam and it turned out to be an excellent choice. Grilled cheese toastie was very good but the rosemary and sea salt twists were amazing. Followed by a very tasty babka

Excellent vegan restaurant with bakery - Edit
We thoroughly enjoyed our experience at this restaurant. The staff is super friendly and patient and proficient as in every restaurant and Amsterdam seating can be a challenge, but we seem to have lucked out that day now they are across the street from each other same company one the restaurant the other ones, a bakery you got a 50-50 chance of getting it right and we did not, but we still had a wonderful time at the end of the day. Delicious food, and we took the pastry home with us to have for breakfast to remember the day. Make sure you stop in and give them some love, you won’t regret it.

Worth the hype in any way - Edit
I was there super early so the selection was super and no line, but the original SAINT-JEAN across the street was already crowded.
Read moreThis place is easy to find and super cozy from the inside. There are only a few seating spots, but you can just take your order to go and eat by the water. If its still early it super calm and nice.
Service was super kind and offered recommendations, also very patient when their card reader had troubles with my card.
The food was truly just amazing. The matcha cookie was crumbly and buttery, with a slightly sourness to it. still the matcha came through very well. The cheese croissant was perfect. First off all, it was HUGE. It was flakey and soft, the cheese filling had a great tangyness.
If you can go to one spot in Amsterdam, go there.
Pros: Portion sizes , Great selection , All vegan!

I believe this place + Margo's are definitely the best bakeries in Amsterdam. Try also the sandwiches, they are amazing! And there's a delicious apple juice :)

Absolutely amazing! - Edit
We tried the galette (fitting the season, it was topped with pumpkin and chickpeas), a tomato pesto babka, a pastry with mushrooms and chestnuts, the potato leek twist and a foccacia sandwich with beetroot and whipped "feta", as well as their current desserts (a chocolate mouse and a pistachio tiramisu).

Amazing bread and bakes! - Edit
Absolutely delicious!
Read moreThere's 2 Saint-Jeans directly across from each other, one is apparently very Tik-Tok famous, so there's a massive queue. I went to the other one, where I got lovely coffee, INCREDIBLE bread and a wonderful croissant! Believe the other side does more sweet bakes. However the one with no-queue still had a few, so would recommend if you don't want a long wait! 😊💚
Pros: Delicious bakes, Good coffee , Friendly staff

Perfect spot for a vegan bite - Edit
The savory version of Saint-Jean pastry shop around the corner is a great find. Always based on their homemade puff pastry, the food is excellent and generous. I'm a fan of both the sweet and savoury versions. The place is pleasant and the staff nice. One of my favorite destinations in Amsterdam.

Fantastic food and service - Edit
Started at the Saint Jean Deli for sandwiches and coffee before heading across the canal for sweet pastries to go. We sat in at the deli and the service was incredible. Was just one person working, serving and making coffee and they were incredible efficient and polite. The sandwiches themselves were amazing and the soft serves looked great too but we didn't try it. Pastries from across the road were great as well. Be prepared to wait a bit as there are only a few tables inside but they do takeaway as well.

Oh my god. - Edit
This is literally the best bakery I’ve ever encountered. The wait can be insane because it’s TikTok famous, but if you go early in the morning, you should be good. #1 must visit in Amsterdam. You won’t regret it I promise

Sooooo gut - Edit

Amazing sandwiches - Edit
We stopped in for a takeaway lunch and got the TLC and the pulled jackfruit sandwiches, plus a cookie. Both sandwiches were great, some of the best vegan sandos I've ever had. It's a cute space but there wasn't room inside so we ate outside.

Tasty pistachio soft-serve - Edit
We saw this place offering Oatly's soft-serve in a unique flavour (which I think they only serve here). We only paid 3.50 and even got a drizzle of pistachio on it. Delicious and cooling!

Delicious savory pastries - Edit
Small Deli with beautiful savory pastries. It's hard to choose because everything looks very tasty. Tried the Parmesan twister and spinach roll, both were flaky and delicious. Also had a bite of the olive and rosemary bun, but that one lacked a bit of flavour in my opinion. Matcha latte was good!
