Read moreSo the folks that own the thriving and beautiful Riverside Creamery down the road, own this place as well to house all the vegan ice cream.
Pros:
* It's so awesome that they made such an investment to provide vegan ice cream to folks that are vegan or lactose intolerant, etc. They really care.
* The soft serve is the best we ever had, and we've tried good stuff.
Cons:
* It's empty and sad, whereas their main place down the road is impossibly cute, and also opens up onto the river so you can go outside and lick.
* We accidentally went to the main place once and asked for vegan ice cream, and the whole lot of them had no idea what they had. They also didn't say the most important thing, which is, hey we have nothing, go to our sister store down the road.
Look at me complaining about this place that has great vegan ice cream!
I assume the main problem is that there's just no room for 20 vegan scoops at the main place, so they needed a second place. My ideal is to pick 4 of those 20, move them over, and especially move over that awesome soft serve machine!!!!, and close the sad place. Yes, it would be less selection, but sometimes less is more.

Dairy free ice cream- 8 flavors, not always the same. We had the Oreo ice cream, strawberry and peanut butter swirl- all delicious! They also have soft serve, vanilla & chocolate. In the freezer case, they offer “flying saucers” in Oreo flavor and vanilla, as well as pint size containers.

The Best Ice Cream EVER!!! - Edit
We (two vegan couples) often do a field trip drive (almost an hour) to lunch at Fogwood and Fig in Port Jervis, and last Saturday we discovered this nearby ice cream shop with the most incredible vegan ice cream!!! Now we have two great reasons to make the drive! It is hands-down the best ice cream ever (even better than my memory of dairy!). There are a multidude of flavors and both soft custard and scooped varieties!

They offer both vegan ice and vegan ice cream! I only tried the ice cream. I got to sample several flavors and all were delish! My favorite and highly recommended is the lemon blueberry ice cream!
