Well stocked locally owned natural food store

Small natural food store with a large selection of vitamins and a decent body care and cleaning product section with a fair amount of vegan products. No fresh produce but lots of shelf stable goods many of which are organic, vegetarian, vegan or some combination thereof. There is a small refrigerated and freezer section, a bulk spice section, bulk coffee beans, small bulk section with beans, trail mix, and snacks and a gluten free aisle.

I love their selection of teas, grains, flours, and the freshly ground peanut butter.

Pros: Carries products that are hard to find elsewhere, Locally owned

Cons: The website isn't very useful. Best to call

Great Find!

I do love River City Nutrition, it's a great place to stop and pick up specific vegan ingredients when you don't want to go to Trader Joes or Whole Foods. The people in the store are very helpful and friendly. I've purchased tofu, tempeh, ice cream sandwiches, specialty flours and nutritional yeast among other common grocery items here. They are higher priced than Trader Joes, but I would choose to go here before I'd go to Whole Foods.

You can also request items and they will special order them for you!

Pros: Friendly Staff, Excellent Vegan Grocery Selection

Cons: Pricey

Great little health food store

I don't think most people even know River City exists. They don't stock a lot of produce since they have very light traffic. Its mostly boxed, canned and frozen items. If you're in a hurry it saves a trip down to Whole Foods on a lot of essential items.

Cons: small, not much produce
