Terrific Vegan Lao Food. Kind Owner. Menu in Lao + English. - Edit
I thoroughly enjoyed the vegan Lao food at Reunion Cafe, and I appreciated that the menu was both in Lao and English. From what I remember, I enjoyed all of the dishes I ate and left here, full and satisfied, each time I visited.

Heaven in an alleyway - Edit
Quite easy to find even while riding bikes in traffic. This place was so good that even my two non vegan friends loved it and we went back the next day. The menu is extensive and in two meals we ordered probably around 18 dishes and they were all 10/10 for a great price between three.

Big menu, big flavours - Edit
We had the deep fried wontons which were delicious as a starter, the spicy papaya salad which was spicy as expected and a real treat because usually it contains fish sauce, and tom yum soup with sticky rice which tasted authentic and was flavoursome and filling.

Affordable, nice food - Edit
The rice noodle soup was a huge bowl for 15k and delicious, would definitely recommend. My bf ordered papaya salad and crispy “pork” with vegetables, which were both a bit small. The pork wasn’t very crispy at all and came with greens, not mixed vegetables like we expected. Sounds like he should’ve ordered something else instead, based off other people’s suggestions here. I was trying to convince him to order the sweet & sour “chicken” so I could try some haha, but to no avail.
Read moreThey also had some specials written on a board at the front that mentioned cheese and I’m intrigued if it’s actually vegan cheese - cos that would be a rare find in SE Asia.
Pros: all vegan, fair prices (mains around 15k - 40k), nice staff
Cons: some dishes not as good as others

This restaurant has delicious foods that are suitable for all. I tried multiple items on the menu and every single thing I tried was super tasty. This is my go-to vegan spot anytime I am in this part of the world. The owner is awesome and made me feel right at home with his professional service, clear English, and compassion. I highly recommend eating here. You'll be satisfied if you enjoy eating delcious, mouth watering, tasty, nourishing vegan food in Vientiane.

Best vegan meat! - Edit
Lovely little family run vegan restaurant. The fake meat is the best I have ever tried and that’s no over exaggeration. The ‘chicken’ satay is out of this world. Definitely worth a visit! Mains start at 20k. I shared 3 dishes with my boyfriend and it cost 95k and it was more than enough food.

Good food - middle range price - small portion - Edit
One of the few vegan restaurants in Lao. Just for this reason I want to support them.
Read moreI had satay kitchen (brochette) that came with a peanut sauce. That was very tasty. I had rice as a side dish. Costed 25K. Affordable for mock meat but not cheap.
Unfortunately the portion was very small and I was still hungry when I left this place.
Pros: 100% vegan - OK price for vegan mock meat -

Best food in Vientiane! - Edit
I love this restaurant the prices are inexpensive. All the food we tried were amazing! I totally felt in love with their noodle soup. Ordered the soup every time I was there. Soup costs 15.000 and I didn't managed to finish it once. But I'm a small person 😅 the menu is huge! And their fake meats are unbelievable good. We went to this restaurant every day while staying in Vientiane.

Firstly just want to express my gratitude that a laoation vegan restaurant exists, as we couldn’t find any street food suitable apart from sticky rice. The food is good here, the grilled ‘chicken’ is tasty and the pad Thai is good. Lots of dishes to choose from and you get free water. It’s very fast service and they are very friendly, down a quiet street it’s a popular place with the locals. Good price 20-30 for a dish.

BEST 'MEAT' EVER! - Edit
Small, basic family run restaurant in walking distance of the tourist area. Very friendly owner. We were given water immediately. Everything is vegan but labeled as chicken, pork, ... We ordered fried chicken and larb pork. Food was ready really quick and full of taste. The chicken was THE BEST 'MEAT' I'VE EVER HAD, truly amazing!!

Great papaya salad (but spicy!) - Edit
My boyfriend and I visited here a couple of days ago and had stir fried vegetables, papaya salad and Vietnamese noodle soup. We were given free water :)
Read moreThe owner asked if we wanted our salad spicy and we went for it as we doubted if would live up to our expectations (normally we don't find things spicy!). The salad was really spicy and had so much flavour. We really enjoyed it! There was a good mix of veg in the stir fried veg dish and it was crunchy and delicious. The noodle soup was fairly basic and lacked veg but was still tasty.
Pros: Good value , Big portions , Friendly staff
Cons: No AC so boiling hot

We had the brown fired rice that was amazing, with more veggies then normally fried rice would have. Lots of flavor! The papaya salad was not the best, I had much better ones in SE Asia. The bean salad wasn’t good at all... both salads were too salty and too spicy.
