My favourite lunch - Edit
Lohtu's lunch is always excellent, I would recommend it to everyone. The salads are maybe even better than the warm lunch. The portions feel really well thought out.

I had a solid brunch here with an interesting mix of tastes. Staff was friendly, and the portion size was generous. It's a bit on the pricy side, but still very much recommended.

The options a limited to 2 or 3 but they report that they change the menu weekly. I had the “warm”bowl which was a delicious chickpea curry on a bed of white rice, topped with a tzatziki sauce and parsley. Came with a free coffee,tea, water and slice of fresh bread. Was quite tasty and filling.

This lunch restaurant never disappoints. I usually try to go around 14 as it can be very full at peak Finnish lunch hours 11-13. The food is very good, and the plating is wonderful. I'm always so happy just seeing my plate arrive. So beautiful

This place was super lovely, and my warm meal tasted amazing.

I also grabbed a pistachio roll to go, couldn’t resist.
The staff were really sweet, and the whole vibe was just so cozy and welcoming.

By far the best vegan meal in Helsinki. So many different vegetables, sauces, flavors and textures that compliment each other. Don't miss out on the brunch plate!! The portion is huge and satisfying. The coffee and tea were also very good.

Saturday brunch here was certainly the best meal we’ve had in Finland. There’s no choice to make, which is kind of a relief, especially when the result is so good. Our brunch had roast new potatoes in a romesco sauce, a Mediterranean style quinoa salad, curried tofu and sweet potatoes in a green goddess sauce, a pea purée, and two generous slices of bread—not to mention a chia seed dessert and unlimited coffee and apricot tea.

Lohtu is a hidden gem inside the market hall. There were three lunch options, of which we chose two: salad and warm. Both options were delicious. The reputation of this place is well deserved.

You should not go to the first floor, because it's plenty of meat. However this restaurant placed in the second floor it's amazing. I don't really like cauliflower, but I chose the warm menu which had a complete dinner with rice, cherry tomatoes, tofu, sunflower seeds and some bread and I was surprised, what a good taste! Water, tea and coffee are included, you just have to take it. Furthermore the price is fantastic.

Read moreLunch place with a rotating menu where there is a "warm" option and a salad option every day, bread and coffee (of course) included. Everything is always delicious, healthy, and creative.
Only "con" is one that I am quite happy to report - this place can get quite busy from 12-13: might be tricky to find a table during that time (they don't take reservations). But that should tell you all you need to know that a vegan restaurant is able to generate that kind of traffic.

Upstairs of an indoor artisanal market, delicious red pepper soup, salad, bread, unlimited tea and coffee. They also sell vegan pastries but we didn’t try those. Relaxed buzzy indoor spot.

We had lunch at Lohtu and ordered pea risotto. It was really tasty and coffee, water and bread with pea hummus(?) was also included with the price. Everything tasted fresh. It didn’t take too long to have food even there was a lot of people in the restaurant.

The place is on the upper floor of an indoor market and food is prepared before your eyes. I had the warm dish of the day that reflected the summer colors and also a green peas dip, plus a “kanelbulle”. Coffee, tea, water, bread, all are included.

I had the warm lunch of the day which was a panang curry with tofu. It was so tasty! Bread, tea and coffee are included. It’s a nice setting, has good prices, and changes the menu daily. Will definitely come back!

There was only one dish of food, but it was full of many different kinds of foods. Very filling and tasty of course. Will definitely come back again. Dessert was OK. Chia seed pudding with coffee.
