Decent vegan options, small portion sizes. - Edit
Rak Thai is located inside the Saigon Center shopping mall- 5th floor.
Read morePros: I got the stir fried rice noodle (essentially this is pad kee mao) and the lemon grass tofu. The food was flavorful, and well presented. The service was friendly and the ambiance was vibrant. I appreciated the place having a decent selection of vegan options, especially when the rest of the food court options on the 5th floor did not do so. Rak Thai could do vegan with no oyster/ no fish sauce.
Cons: Portion sizes are small and the place is pricey for the portion. Example: for Noodles, Tofu and water Plus tax- it’s ~270,000 vnd. With it being called fine dining in a mall, i understand the surcharge, but the portion sizes should be more than the small plate size.
Would recommend.

Not authentic - Edit
Rak Thai is a restaurant within an upscale Shopping Mall. Accordingly, prices are rather high. Unfortunately, our food wasn't really good: the pad thai was a tiny portion and the taste wasn't great, not like in Thailand. It was supposed to be with tofu, but I could only spot two tiny dices of tofu... Still hungry, we ordered mango with sticky rice. The mango wasn't ripe and the rice wasn't prepared with coconut milk, but was served with some coconut sauce. Service was also rather poor - food wasn't served at the same time and the drinks only when we had almost finished our meals.

Many vegan options - Edit
I really appreciate a restaurant catering for vegans. Many options here. Food was ok. Nothing bad. Nothing special. But if you are craving some Thai food, then check out the vegan options here

Post Têt Visit - Edit
We came after the New Year and tried the Pad Thai, the Pad Broccoli, Lemongrass Tofu, and Thien Ly (stir fry flower) and rice.
Read moreThe Pad Thai was outstanding, as was the Lemongrass Tofu. The broccoli was cooked just right. The 🌼 flower was good. I was afraid of eating a flower, but my bad: it was delicious 😋.

Pros: Clean and good atmosphere , The Pad Thai has no food color , They have 4 pages of Vegan food
Cons: Our last dish came out late (they were very busy)
