🌯Puralma est bien plus qu'une boulangerie, en proposant une véritable carte de restaurant. La carte correspond plutôt au format brunch. La plupart des plats sont des spécialités locales et de qualité.

I visited PURALMA a couple of times while visiting San José. I tried the pupusas on one occasion (very yummy) and a smoothie bowl on my second visit which was delicious and chockablock full of goodness. I also bought some items to go; the raw snickers bar (amazing!) and the empanadas which were also yummy. The service was excellent too.

I came here for lunch and wish I had discovered it sooner! Lunch was great and it seems like a perfect place to sit and do work- lots of outlets to plug in your laptop and great vibes!

Ohhhh my goodness this breakfast/brunch was incredible, so delicious. I think we went to the cafe rather than the bakery???, which was based on google maps' location and a few mins walk from the bakery. Lovely atmosphere, kind owner, and all plant based/vegan. We had the vegan cheese sandwich, vegan omelette, and vegan breakfast burger, plus a sweet treat to take away. Can't wait to go back! With thanks, from two well-fed Aussies

I had amazing cheesecake and empanada with veggies. I can recommend the first one. The other one is ok, but taking into account how much overpriced costarican food is I would skip empanada next time and stick to the good cake. The bakery is connected with Guacamole restaurant so you can sit there.

Best vegan bakery ever - Edit
When we went there wasn’t any savoury food ready yet (it was a Sunday) but there were so many vegan options for sweets, and I wanted everything! I ended up trying the chocolate cake and lemon pie and both were delicious. It was a bit of a trek for us to get to (we made the trip across town especially and it was worth it) but if it had been closer we’d have visited every day! I’ve been craving their food since I went!

We got two 'ham & cheese' croissants for lunch the following day. They were very tasty although not really ham and cheese and more tomato - not sure if the server had just been confused about what was inside - either way we didn't mind as they were great. Probably even better if you had the fresh and warm!

Unexpected Yumminess - Edit
After dinner next door, we stopped in to check out this cute bakery. We tried some cookies - one filled with apple cinnamon and the other with berry jam. They were both delicious. The owner was really nice with great advice on other restaurants to try. We ended up taking 2 savory pastries back to our hotel for breakfast the next day. Both held up great overnight. One was a ham and cheese croissant and the other a spinach potato empanada which were spiced really nicely. Definitely recommend!
