Serves meat, vegan options available. Winery/farm offering tastings/tours that include lunch. Offers a two course vegan lunch. Open Mon-Sun 11:00-16:00.
Literally served two dishes with cheese in them (only I’m 99% sure one I’m 70% sure) - couldn’t be bothered to ask, just left the dodgy starter and the pasta was so disgusting anyway I didn’t want to stay and find out if it was suitable or not - I’d skip
Vegan wines and vegan options available upon request - Edit
This is a beautiful family-run winery and tasting room in rural Tuscany, about 10 minutes by taxi from the hotels on Il Ciocco.
All of the wines are unfiltered and biodynamic - organic with natural agricultural techniques - which means they seem to be free from cruelty or animal products (e.g. isinglass).
The tasting menu lunch as standard seems to be omnivourous, but we let them know in advance that we were vegan and they were happy to provide a fully plant-based lunch with our tasting: two courses, a bruschetta and salad starter (pictured) followed by egg-free tortiglioni alla pomodoro.
Food intolerances (alliums) were also accommodated without any fanfare, but because this is a family-run rustic establishment it’s worth giving them notice.
