Comfort Meets Nourishment - Edit
The staff is super friendly and helpful.
Read moreThey add Turmeric to many of the entrees with Black pepper to help on the nourishment. Energy balls are good. Huge portions for the broccoli and peanut sauce. They are famous for the crunch wraps. Though be careful if spicy isn't your thing. Really spicy.
Great place to watch airplanes land and the river.

Fully Vegan Cafe With Outdoor Seating - Edit
This is a small, colorful cafe that has AMAZING vegan comfort food. Take any of your non plant based pals here and they will be converted. The crunch wraps are their claim to fame but I got the Be-you-tiful bowl. It was loaded up with brown rice, broccoli, spinach and this amazing peanut sauce covered tofu. It was one of those meals that had me dancing in my seat while I ate.

Not that crunchy - Edit
I was expecting the crunch wrap to be a little more crunchy and indulgent, but maybe ordering it ahead of time caused it to sit for awhile and become mushy. The flavors were fine but tasted like something I could make at home. Wish I tried something else from here.

Resto fast-food / take out et table à pique nique sur le bord de la petite chute. C’est vraiment adorable, c’est bon et tout est végane. Les employées sont formidables.

Great vibes - Edit
I love how imaginative and fun their food is. The carrot hotdog was my favorite and it had great texture; I wasn't expecting to love it as much as I did.
Read moreUnfortunately, the dumplings were soggy and fell apart due to being so overcooked. Both of the crunch wraps looked great on paper, but the flavor fell flat for both. Felt the same about the nachos as well.
I'd give this place 5 stars if everything was seasoned better and had more flavor. Maybe it was just an off day, but I was only impressed with the carrot dog and burger (flavor-wise). I love that they make everything inhouse though.
The interior has fun vibes and it's in a great spot nestled next to the river downtown with plenty of parking.
Pros: Unique, Everything is house-made, Great vibes and location
Cons: Lacking flavor/seasoning

i have history here - Edit
so for those of you that don't know, this restaurant was featured on guy fieri's diners drive ins and dives many years ago. as a recently surfacing vegan of the time i would look up celebrity chef names with the word vegan after it and this was the first suggestion that popped up with his name on it. he showcased their famous crunchwrap supreme and all the thought that goes into each ingredient from the cashew queso to the chili to the guacamole (made w/o avocado). ANYWAYS, fast forward many years later and i find myself in burlington for the first time since watching that video which has been permanently locked into my brain. this was an extremely full circle moment for me, and perhaps that's a bit of an arbitrary thing to rate this place so highly over, but being able to satisfy my entry level vegan cravings all these years later means a whole lot to me. not to mention the crunchwrap is DELICIOUS!

Busy vegan cafe - Edit
Super busy on a Sunday afternoon, but we were able to snag a table and our food came out quickly! It looked so good that I almost forgot to take pics… we tried the Caesar-ish as a wrap, buffalo mac crunchwrap, and the most delicious cupcake. Very friendly staff too!

Fan for years - Edit
I like everything on the menu, although I'd say that the crunchwrap Supreme is probably my least favorite thing...not sure why it's so popular. I really love the wraps, and the breakfast sandwich is my most commonly ordered thing. Recently they changed it up--bfast sandwich is now on a bunch, rather than an English muffin. Please try the broccoli!!! It's so delicious.

I am a huge fan of this spot. Their menu has gone through some iterations but has settled in a great place. I recommend any of the crunch wraps, the mcnuggies and grandma Sues peanut butter chocolate chip cookies.

Great place and a view of the water - Edit
Great spot for a good coffee and food. We tried some of the crunch wraps which were tasty. I found them to be a little oily for the morning but that may just be me. If it had been less oily and heavy, I'd give this place 5 stars. The wraps keep well though for take out! They also had desserts that I'll have to have next time

This place was wonderful! - Edit
Really liked that they have healthy options and more indulgent options (including a healthier spin on a crunchwrap). I got the bea-you-tiful bowl and the breffass sammy and both were great! Very scenic by a nice river with rapids as well. Would definitely recommend!

I love Pingalas, it’s one of the only entirely vegan places in Vermont. They used to have eggplant bacon, which was awesome now they do a smoky carrot which is really good but I think my favorite is the mac & cheese crunch wrap. It’s just fun and good not probably the healthiest but it’s good.

Go to for vegan eats - Edit
I love that this is 100% vegan. Having moved from Portland, OR, with over 50 vegan eateries, Burlington has been a bit of a challenge for veg eating. They are in desperate need of more fine dining and specialty vegan eats here, but this food truck vibe is great to have. I don't have to put any more thought into the menu than how to choose from all the great options! I've eaten here twice already, and staff has consistently been wonderful, as has the food. Those crunchwraps are perfect! It's actually a good thing this place (both locations) is over 15 minutes from my house, otherwise I'd be eating there every day.

Rare vegan restaurant in Burlington! - Edit
Pingala is a staple of the vegan VT scene! I have eaten there many times, and I’ve enjoyed items like the brunchwrap supreme, the burgers and the Buffalo Mac Crunchwrap. Great walkable location near a lot of fun spots in Winooski.
