Nice snack

Came here looking for typically Latvian food. The fried dumplings are made in the same oil as the meat dumplings, so not for me.
I went with the boiled dimpmings, waited until they were done and when the 4 pieces arrived finally started to dig in. The dough somehow reminds of pasta dough, the filling consisted of mushrooms and carrots plus some fat I am honestly not sure if vegan, as the taste had a hint of butter.
The dumplings are ok but without the soy sauce would be pretty bland. Nice to try but nothing to write home about. It's a close call and if only they had a bit more flavor, it would probably have been 4 stars.
Anyway, in a city like Riga it's already nice to find at least a rather cheap option although the serving size is far from being filling.

Pros: Traditional food , Rather cheap

Cons: A bit bland

Good

They were knowledgable about vegan. The dumplings come with sour cream but instead you can get soy sauce. We got the fried ones and it comes with a good quantity for the price

Incredibly friendly staff & really good Khinkali

The food at this stall was really good—I had the mushroom Khinkali—but my highlight was the woman working the counter. She was super friendly and even pointed out that the sour cream that is usually served with the Khinkali is not vegan.

Had the mushroom dumplings and they were amazing. They were also very filling! You can have the option for boiled or fried

Cons: Would be great to have another vegan option

Pelmeni dumplings

They have boiled mushroom dumplings & veg fried dumplings which they confirmed were vegan We for a portion of the boiled dumplings for €6.90 (fried ones are cheaper). We were given tips by locals on how to eat them: which is to hold them by the stem with your fingers and bite into them so you don’t lose too much liquid. They were delicious and juicy and went down well with the beer you can get in the market and vegan lokum sweets.

Delicious food and friendly staff

Staff was extremely helpful and even looked up the ingredients for me to verify the two vegan marked options are really vegan. The food was amazing, loved every bite of it!

Pros: Friendly helpful staff, Great food, Clearly marked options

Cons: No proper dishes, only takeaway containers
