Convenient and incredibly tasty

Today I finally got the chance to try out Pain du Jardin and I regret not visiting earlier. It is not often that one finds a sandwich under €10 euros in Utrecht’s center, especially not of this quality. To my understanding the sandwich toppings change quite often, so I imagine it being quite fun to try a different ones every time you visit here. The first combo listed was not vegan though. My friend and I both went for a sandwich with (portobello) mushrooms, onions and wild garlic. It was insanely delicious and we enjoyed every bite. There were both fried and caramelised onions on there so that made for a very nice texture. The bread itself also was a delight. There were jalapeños on there which I thought was a bit of a wild card. I also can’t imagine any meat or fish going well with these toppings (this is something they do offer). Definitely coming back asap!

Pros: Unique and tasty flavours, Convenient and fairly priced, Chill ambiance.

Cons: Serve meat and fish, Not all base sandwiches are vegan.

Good sandwich

The ciabata itself was great with a nice crunch on the outside. The filling, I chose carrot sesame onion, was delicious, but I would have liked more of it.

Tasty sandwiches

Very tasty sandwiches, although for lunch the portion size is somewhat on the small side. The ciabatta bread itself is quite large and lovely and crispy on the outside, but there isn't all that much inside. However, what is inside is very tasty. I had the (rendang) sandwich with green beans, peanuts and pickles and a slightly spicy sauce. Price is fair I guess, 7,50 for a sandwich.

Pros: Tasty , Delicious ciabatta bread

Cons: Not enough if you are a relatively big eater

Absolute aanrader!!
