This is THE BEST PADOCA - Edit
Restaurant and bakery with really excellent food. This is the original PADOCA. The one in Porto only turned vegan after people started asking for vegan food, because of this one. Lots of locals eat here, whereby the one in Porto gets mainly tourists.

We got the Padini de “Chouriço” starter to share, then for mains had the Francesinha da Casa and the Burrito n’Pork. Everything was absolutely delicious, but the Francesinha was mind blowing. The sauce was just amazing. If you want to eat a vegan Francesinha in Portugal this is the best one, hands down.

O staff também merece destaque: acolhedor, simpático e atencioso composto por uma equipa jovem e dinâmica .O atendimento torna a experiência ainda mais especial, garantindo que cada cliente se sinta bem recebido.
Seja para um almoço casual ou uma refeição especial, o Padoca Vegan vale qualquer deslocação. Uma referência incontestável da gastronomia vegan em Portugal.

Gosto de tudo na Padoca em Gaia. A comida, e agora com novos menus ao jantar, o espaço sofreu obras e está ainda mais aconchegante, e o staff é muito bom. É o espaço vegan que mais frequento no Grande Porto. Muito bom tb para jantares de grupo. Recomendo mesmo muito.

Phenomenal food in Gaia - Edit
I’ve been to Padoca multiple times in the past year and love it every time! The pastries are fresh and delicious and the main dishes are so unique and stand out from other vegan options around. Their françesinha is so unique and delicious I love it. Very highly recommend!

We had a coffee break there and the pastries where amazing. The coffee was good as well, however pastries really stood out. Even for non-vegans it is still of the beter bakeries.

Padoca is a must-visit restaurant! - Edit
If you’re nearby VN Gaia, this is a mandatory trip. Everything on the menu is (vegan and) masterfully cooked/baked and delicious. Though a bit pricey to try everything, it’s so definitely worth it. I wish I lived next to it!

This place has many pastries quite close to "the real thing". Sadly, idk if its just because of the day i went, but the sweet ones were just donuts (a lot of variety in them tho) :(( was looking for a more different/typical option like in the photos here, wasnt worth going there on purpose.

Highly recommend the coffee latte with whipped cream, it was super fluffly and velvety which is not very common to find vegan
Delicious oreo hit chocolate, thyre whipped cream is rly amazing
I do find it amazing tho that they have tradicional portuguese SALTY pastries!!! That i didnt try, but they looked great. Like bread with chorizo and "lanches", good for a on the go snack

Oh wauw. This restaurant was absolutely amazing. The staff was really friendly and gave us some recommendations, and those were so good. They were very passionate about the food and made us feel so welcome. The food was so super delicious. My partner and I still talk about it, months after visiting. This will be the first restaurant we will go back to when we visit Porto again, no doubt. Also a very queer friendly place, which I love. We took some treats to our apartment, some of the best savoury and sweets we've ever eaten. Not exaggerating ;-). Would definitely recommend!

What an absolute gem of a place! Well worth visiting the other side of the river (& walking uphill) for 😉 Couldn’t decide what we liked best, because everything was equally amazing! The recommendations by our waiter were spot on 👌 He was very knowledgeable about the menu & just a great host. The starters, mains, sides, desserts - all were absolutely delicious! A great menu with veganized traditional Portuguese classics & regular worldwide favorites. We also got a lot of mouth-watering pastries to go. I cannot recommend this place enough. Can’t wait to visit again! 10/10.
