After reading the reviews I was very excited to try the food here. I got a vegan bao and an orange juice delivered. The food came hot.
Read moreThe fresh orange juice was delicious but the bao was a little disappointing. I did like the creativity of the bao, it's not every day you can get a breakfast bao! That said, it was underwhelming.
The vegan bao has a sausage patty, egg, hash brown cheese and two sauces. The flavour overall was greasy and mildly spicy. I wouldn't say there was anything in particular that stood out to me in this bao other than the crispiness of the hash brown. The sausage and egg was particularly under seasoned and didn't taste much of anything.
It's not something I'd order again. I'm happy that I tried it and I can understand why this would appeal to some people but it isn't for me.

What a fun name and concept. Delicious vegan bao with cheez, crispy hashbrowns, vegan sausage, and of course a vegan egg on a soft steamy bao. Super yummy chipotle ranch and hot sauce too!

The breakfast baos are incredible, one of my fave Edinburgh breakfast options. However, would give the hash browns a miss as they are expensive and nothing to write home about.

I had the breakfast bao with hash brown topped with vegan sausage, melty 'cheese', some 'egg', sriracha and tangy sauce. It was nice, I'd probably not get the cheeze next time. I had the OJ as well.

Bao is nothing special but great coffee!! - Edit
Had wanted to try here for ages. The vegan bao (£6.66) was fine but didn't have much flavour at all unfortunately. Good textures though. I think the sausage could do with more seasoning. The seasoning on the hash browns was very tasty, but £4.50 for three seems too expensive. Coffee though - £2.50 for an oat latte!! And it was absolutely delicious. They filled my own cup right up to the top. I will definitely be back for coffee but I'm not sure I'll get any food again.

I only finally ordered from here as I found an UberEats code. What I had, I thoroughly enjoyed. The bun was generously filled and the ‘crack dust’ hash browns seriously enjoyable. I think if they had even a few chairs to sit in, I’d visit in person.

Restaurant only has a couple of options in general, two vegan options: the breakfast bao and hash browns (and two vegan dips). I had both the bao (vegan egg, sausage, cheese and a hash brown) and a separate hash brown. All really tasty. #Veganuary
