Clear vegan options; but choose carefully

Two of us went for lunch and had the penne alla arrabbiata, a large vegan salad, and shared a caponata served with "pizza bianca" flatbread.

The penne was nice and spicy. The caponata was delicious and a generous portion. The salad was not very filling: even though it was huge, it was mostly leaves.

Service was quite slow even though the restaurant was nearly empty when we turned up at 4pm. The restaurant was clean.

Pros: Vegan options are very clearly labelled in the men, Delicious caponata

Cons: Big salad not filling

Nice spot and good range on menu

The were quite a few vegan options outlined on the menu. We had a lunch deal which was 12e for salad starter, pasta or pizza main, soft drink or beer and coffee. We had a vegan calzone and a vegan pizza. Both generously sized and tasty. Friendly staff and good location.

Pros: lunch deal is good value, good range of vegan options , nice spot

lovely dinner

After a long day of sightseeing Origano came through with tasty and filling food. The salads are generous. My son loved the pasta and I enjoyed the Vegan Thousand Leaves very much. Staff was super friendly. Food and ambiance were not fancy, but it was a cozy place to recharge.

Pros: veg options, friendly staff

Tasty vegan pizza

The vegetarian and vegan options are clearly marked on the menu. We ate tasty vegan pizzas with pretty basic vegetable toppings. The cheese-eater found quattro stagione really good. The cook accidentally made two quattros and one vegan pizza when it was supposed to be another way around. They made the delay up by bringing me a nice vegan appetizer with zucchini chips, tomatoes and olive oil leaving me feeling glad they made that mistake: good service!

great place !

this place is located right between the spanish stairs and the trevi fountain. usually these tourist places are not where you want to go but origano is the exception to the rule. you get great veggie and vegan food which is clearly indicated on the menu, large portions, friendly staff and all this for a very decent price. when you go for the special menu (which actually allows you to get everything on the menu) you get even more value for money. i would definetely reccomend it when you are in Rome.

Pros: location, good food, friendly staff

Cons: serves meat
