We came back and second time was even better. Everything was great! We had vegan supli and vegan pizzas: capriciosa is very good and amatriciana is delicious (if you like spicy food). Also carciofi alla romana is very nice.

We had lasagna and capricossa pizza. The lasagna was good, but the pizza was sort of average. The vegan terimisu was fabulous though, I must say.

Amazing vegan food - Edit
I’ve had the most amazing food from Origano. I’m vegan and was worried about finding somewhere to eat in Rome. But I thankfully discovered this restaurant on my second day and I’ve eaten here 4 days in a row. The food is unbelievable and I’ve not had a better vegan pizza ever.

My favourites have been the bruschetta, vegan ortolana pizza and vegan tiramisu.
The place was always busy with Italians and tourists. And both meat eaters and veggies / vegans.
I even came here for breakfast (after 11am) for cappuccino with soya milk and vegan croissant (un cornetto) and the service is fantastic.
They were amazing and patient with me while I practised my Italian.
I’m 100% coming back again

After a week in Italy, I can safely say the carbonara was the best thing I ate. The tiramisu I thought was only ok but I would definitely go back for the pasta.

One of the best meals we’ve had in Rome - Edit
I had vegan suppli, followed by a great pizza with vegan ham and lots of different veg. Lots of pizza places go cheeseless for vegans but Origano was the first I found offering vegan cheese. There were gorgeous looking dessert options but we were very full, so I recommend going on an empty stomach!

We really loved all the food. The vegan tiramisu, vegan Gnocchi and vegan alla matricana. Unfortunately my portion was a little small but it was amazingly delicious!

Had a Hugo spritz and the cacio e pepe vegan and gf, it was delicious and just what I needed. They couldn’t put the fried artichokes in the cacio e pepe because of cross contamination with gluten fryer but the attention to that alone was much appreciated. Would love to make it back here before I leave Rome. I’d give five stars but Happy Cow won’t let me. Servers are very knowledgeable of the menu. Also got the artichoke carpaccio which was really refreshing and delicious. I will note that I was given ten euros short of change (I paid with a hundred, bill was 34, she gave me 56 back instead of 66) and I only noticed when I walked out. I went back in and she gave me the 10 euros back. It could have been an honest mistake so just double check that you’re getting the right change back when paying cash.

I didn't expect much since it's not a completely vegan restaurant, but I was pleasantly surprised! We went there three times, and the food was incredible, particularly the lasagna and desserts.
Read moreWe went for: lasagna, spaghetti alla carbonara, cacio e pepe spaghetti with crunchy artichokes, apple cake with soy ice cream, thousand leaves cake with vegan custard cream, and a vegan croissant filled with plant-based nutella.
I would highly recommend this restaurant!

Die vegane Auswahl bei Origano ist Wahnsinn. Alle typisch italienischen Gerichte wie Pizza, Spaghetti, Lasagne, Gnocchis uvm. Werden hier angeboten. Wie haben uns in beiden Filialen durchprobiert und einfach alles hat geschmeckt. ❤️

I had the Roman-style artichoke starter and the gnocchi with pesto, both delicious. Could not taste much artichoke flavour, but I understand this is because they are not in prime season, and it was still yummy with the olive oil, garlic, and herbs.

This branch does not have outdoor seating so I did regret I hadn’t gone to the Campo Di Fiori branch, which apparently does.

It’s a shame that Happy Cow doesn’t allow 5 stars because it’s not a fully veggie restaurant. They have an entire menu that is legitimately vegan and incredible.
Read moreWe stayed in Rome for a full week and ate out for every meal. Origano Trevi was the absolute best. The food is to die for and the staff are both warm and welcoming! We are very grateful for the amazing vegan options. We visited many times during our trip. If you go early enough you can get a vegan cornetto!
