Oh Yum!!!! 🤤

Limited seating and unfortunately I don’t have a good back so the stools when dinning in have no back support. Just an fyi if you suffer like I do lol. 😂

Anyways, to the important stuff. I hope to go once more or to grab some to go before I leave but this place, I was a little worried that I might not like any choices but I tried the peanut miso onigiri and a tofu miso soup. That miso soup hit the spot with the night time coming in making it a little colder. Amazing flavor and tofu just melts in your mouth.

The onigiri was a nice choice for me since the peanuts just burst of flavor from the miso and have a nice texture that mix very well the rice and seaweed.

If you have a chance to go to this place, just amazing. I do recommend. I did add a little pepper in my miso soup which enhances the flavor since I love spicy. Do note, they do charge more for take out because you’re paying for the packaging.

Waiter is super nice and understands some English.

What was unique about my experience, since my group went late in the day, about a little more than an hour before they close, when it got to an hour before they closed, the waiter was prepping everything for the next day. I noticed he was refilling the chopsticks cubby at each seat. When he got to our side, he skipped us. Which I understand and was being nice to let us eat. I was already finished but I understand they’re just doing their job, I pulled the tray out and slid it to him as he was filling the last one on the end. He noticed and thanked me for letting him fill the chopstick tray at my seat. I was done so I didn’t mind and it helps them prepare for the next day. After he was done, he slide it back and I put it away. Had to shift some of the chopsticks to fit but I felt good for helping as a guest. Just the little things help make the experience.

I did forget to get a picture of the entrance because it wasn’t something I noticed right away and it’s in Japanese and you’re on the side away at a weird angle so you can’t really see but someone else who did a review got it perfectly. I thank you for doing that. I know that will help others find this nice little gem ❤️

Delicious!

Me (non-vegan) and my friend (vegan) went to this onigiri place to get ourselves some lunch!
I got the meat set, she got the ume (plum), pickles and peanut miso onigiri. We also decided to try out natto.

First: these onigiri are HUGE. Don't expect to be able to eat 4 in 1 sitting (though I believe the place does have a counter for "most onigiri eaten by a single person")

Second: they're DELICIOUS and SUPER FRESH. We had to wait a little while, but worth it!
The ume is surprisingly fragrant, albeit very sour. The peanut miso was my friend's favourite, a surprisingly good combination. The pickles one was good too.
We didn't like the natto one, but that's on us, not them. We just tried natto for the first time and got greeted by slime (lol)

Anyway, huge recommend! Very good stuff. Friendly staff, we got tea while waiting, you can also sit inside to order and eat😄

Pros: Big portions, Solid flavours, Free tea while waiting
