Tasty but too expensive

tasty food but the price is too much. Friendly and helpful staff! There was no information about the foods in English but the servers were quick to offer help. I had a plateful from the "buffet", which then was weighted and cost me almost 16 euros. But as I said, tasty! And a lot of protein to choose from. The only big minus is the price.

Pros: Location, Friendly staff

Cons: Expensive

Fantastic

At this 100% vegan organic restaurant they serve all kinds of veggie salad and also gluten free mini panini which is the Italian name for sandwich. I had a fantastic vegetarian biological salad mixed with quinoa, rice, spinach and many more ecological vegetables. All the ingredients had an amazingly delicious taste. They also sell vegan energy bars for take away. The owner is very veg friendly and the service is fast. See you again soon!!

Excellent for breakfast and lunch

100% Bio offers a gorgeous vegan buffet with many astonishing dishes. The food is sold by weight, you are free to take what you want from the huge buffet. Everything has a very good taste and you may be frustrated not to be able to try everything! They also have good croissants for breakfast (arrive before 11 am if you want some). I would definitely come back here. The place is nice and the staff is friendly. Prices are fair for quantity and quality (especially the buffet). So sad to read that they now propose cow's milk! Why?

Pros: excellent food, good croissants, pleasant place

Cons: no longer 100% vegan

UPDATED: COW'S MILK

So I've written a review before about how much I love this place, which I really do. I go here frequently but recently I've discovered that they offer dairy milk. Not stated on the menus but you get the option when ordering a coffee and it's right next to the other milks. My friend even got cows milk in her almond latte today but fortunately they switched before she had the time to drink it.

I'm very disappointed especially since cows milk is one of the cruelest practices and also because this is probably a consequence of costumer demand. I wish enough people could tell them that serving cows milk isn't acceptable...

Solo buonissimo

Ormai, vado quasi esclusivamente da loro, a pranzo. Sono entrato a curiosare quando ancora erano un cantiere e, da allora, non mi è mai successo di trovare qualcosa che non mi piacesse. Tutto buonissimo, sempre. Sempre fresco, appena cucinato, formula "a peso" chiara e praticissima. Ottimi i dolci, simpatico e disponibile lo staff. Consigliatissimo!

Pros: Buffet sempre vario, di stagione, a chilometri zer

Excellent choice

We waited thru the dog days of August for this restaurant to reopen and it was worth it. The place is clean and comfortable and the food fresh and very good. The bean cholent was good even in warm weather and the mushy pea dish was the wonderful taste of pea soup without the liquid. We enjoyed everything we tasted and can highly recommend this cafe for lunch or dinner. It is very conveniently located across from the Ostiense metro station so don't miss it!

Pros: Friendly staff, Well prepared food, Attractive decor

Cons: Nothing

good but go for lunch

we went for dinner expecting a buffet but that closes for dinner, instead we got a sample platter of microwaved buffet leftovers? it was good but kinda greasy. I want to go back for lunch when you can assemble your own plate fresh

simple food strange atmosphere

When we entered we completely missed the pay by weight buffet and ordered burgers from the cabinet along with some coffee sorbet both of which were good (my partner thought the sorbet was too sweet but I loved it) the food was good but simple. some of the labeling was confusing i.e. It said cappuccino then underneath vegan cappuccino which led me to question if it's an entirely vegan establishment. The staff seemed to lurk around the table a lot they looked extremely bored several of them were on their phones and it felt very much like they were hovering around us which was a bit uncomfortable. It would have been nice to try the buffet but we were happy with our food.

One of my favourite places in Rome

What can I say about this place? Very Warm, friendly, attentive service, the staff really listen and make great recommendations based on your tastes and what you want. The first time we came here, we arrived outside of the buffet hours and had a sandwich each, a salad plate and a non-alcoholic cocktail. We ordered, sat down, and one of the staff told us that the cocktail we'd ordered has the wrong price on the menu, and that it was cheaper. This is a place you can trust. The food is of the highest quality and beautifully seasoned.

We returned the next day for the buffet - OMG we were so satisfied!! So many fantastic dishes, a great range of grains, excellent variety of proteins, wonderful range of greens, and fabulous vegetable dishes - the asparagus and seitan dish was one of my favourites.

if you're looking for a place that is tasty, big on flavour, excellent quality with service to match and good value for money, this is the place for you.

Pros: Good value for money, Fantastic, high quality food, Fantastic, friendly service

Overrated

Food is not bad, however it is too expensive considering its simplicity. Also, the pay by weight thing is something that does not give me the right feelings about restaurants.

Tasty food but a bit disappointed in staff

I visited it with my omni mum and sadly, we just missed the buffet, so were able to have already made sandwiches and similar things (pizzeta and calzone) which were really good! My mum had a vegan capuccino which she said was almost the best of all we had in Rome (with vegan milk). My only issue was the lack of customer service - it felt like staff had a problem with me (I'm not sure why, because of being a foreigner or coming at the wrong time) and seemed to be almost displeased by us being there. Otherwise nice place.

Pros: Tasty food, Near metro stop (and Pyramid - interesting to see)

Cons: Lack of customer service

A refuge from the Pizza & Pasta craze

I really enjoyed this place since it's not the typical Pasta & Pizza restaurant. It's not a buffet! It's pay per weight so its quality foods. When I went there was a very nice variety of foods such as: Spinach and strawberry salad, baked sweet potato and roasted yellow potatoes, roasted Brussel sprouts, sliced fruits, beans, curry rice, lentils, hummus, tofu pate, etc.
They have fresh squeezed juices, pastries, coffee, and desserts. They are 100% organic and the weight cost is 26 euros per kilo. Check them out, new fav spot here in Rome.

Pros: organic, variety

Nourishing vegan organic food

Nice place, with a large vegan buffet with lots of nourishing, healthy options. Maybe a bit expensive, but the quality is outstanding. Don't miss the hummus!

2nd Review...

After my first review we went back two times (and will go back again). Warning...the buffet is super expensive! 26 Euros per kilogram! We got a small portion each, and the total was $15. Not nearly enough food to fill us up for dinner unfortunately. The dinner/buffet food was probably great when it was hot and fresh, but it wasn't super good when it was cold. Decent. But not great. We went back again for lunch and has the paninis and sandwiches again and they were amazing and much cheaper than the buffet. Our advice: get there early before the good stuff runs out and skip the buffet part.

Delicious food and great staff

We were delighted to find this place and returned 3 times during our trip. It has delicious croissants and beverages and the vegan aperitivo menu was a wonderful treat on our last evening. We also had a bottle of a vegan sparkling wine from Northern Italy. Our waiter was lovely and gave us some extra free aperitivo, thank you. Thanks for providing a great service and offering reasonably priced and good quality organic and vegan food in Rome. You are amazing :-)

Tasty varied food!

We had several foods for lunch and they were all very tasty! I asked for a salad and they put it on another plate since the rest of the food was going to be heated. The price depended on the weight of the food and I think they were considering with the plate weight too. Since they put the salad aside in another plate only for that it was maybe around 4 euros :/ Apart from that amazing food and not that expensive considering it is Rome xD

Great cafe with a view

Loved this place! We went twice - first for our morning coffee, croissants and muffins, where we sat outside in the winter sunshine facing Porta San Paolo, then again on the way home for a snack. Unfortunately, we missed the lunch buffet, which closed at 3.30pm, but that's an excuse to go again. Staff friendly, food delicious and very good value. Well recommended!

Pros: Nice location, Delicious food, Good value

Really not that expensive and with many options available. Since I arrived in Italy I have only eaten carbs, so I had the chance to eat some protein (rice&beans) there. Lovely!

delicious place!

I really loved this place because there were so many options which was a nice change for once! I really appreciate the amount of effort the chef takes to make the various salads, grains, veggies and pastas. The price is by weight so you can try everything, and everything was delicious. I also had a chocolate croissant, so delicious! I highly recommend this place.

great!

Ready-made paninis were terrific and good value. Went for breakfast and got a vegan croissant, panini and a coffee - all were great. Would be good if they made chocolate croissant (although they might, maybe they were all gone).

Pros: paninis

Cons: none
