Cute restaurant with tasty food! - Edit
We ordered the Hip-Hop Chick, Señorita Bonita, Kale Salad, and the Crispy Peri-Buffalo Wings. The Hip-Hop Chick and wings were 5/5 amazingly delicious!
Read moreI was a bit disappointed because I ordered Señorita Bonita but was given a Crunchy Mom instead. The Crunchy Mom was just okay- I was really wanting a burger, but I didn’t want it to go to waste.
The staff was incredibly friendly and I love the atmosphere! Can’t wait to eat here again and try more!

Best South African Vegan in NC - Edit
Oh My God, Oh My Soul. If you are looking for an experience that captures all of the best parts of Charlotte into restaurant. You have to try Oh My Soul.
Read moreFirst to pique your eye is the decoration of the restaurant that takes an unapologetic approach to veganism. There is great benefit making vegan approachable to the unconverted, but there is a charm that brings to my face to see a restaurant to layout all the benefits of veganism in the architecture and design of the building. And, thanks to the wonderful friendliness of the staff, this full-frontal veganism still feels welcoming.
Speaking with the owners I learned, that the married duo were the first to open a vegan restaurant in their home country of South Africa before focusing on their Charlotte location. What an amazing accomplishment. With that in mind, the cuisine focuses on an American-South African fusion that does not feel too foreign for an American patron.
We ordered the mafia gyro and the Makhulu burger. And I do not know if it was intentional for the American audience, but I can say that these were the largest portions of food I have experienced at a vegan restaurant before. It feels strange saying this, but maybe it was too large. Like, so large it was difficult to eat. It’s really the only slight I could whisper on their otherwise amazing restaurant. I’m prepping myself from the rotten tomatoes being thrown my way.
The gyro and hamburger is made with a house-made faux meat that perplexes the mind. It is on par (or maybe better?) than impossible meats, and I have no idea how that’s possible in their little white shack.
If you are in Charlotte, you really have to experience Oh My Soul. I twill be coming back every time I am in town.
Pros: Unapologetically Vegan, Friendly Staff, Large outdoor sitting area
Cons: So much food

Vegan fun on Noda - Edit
This restaurant is a staple for my husband and me. I love the bowls. He loves the house-made burgers. Sunday brunch is always excellent. We also appreciate the deli and often stop in to stock-up on Rebel Cheese. They have inside seating now, which is a huge plus for us.

Amazing food with South African flavors - Edit
I have been following Oh My Soul for awhile on Insta and we were finally able to visit today. The small interior has the order counter and a large baked goods section. Outdoor seating is in the rear in a garden setting. Heaters were available for each table if needed.
Read moreThe food is what brought me and it did not disappoint. Portions were huge and every bite was packed with flavor. My wife had the Mother Earth Bowl and I had the Vuvuzela wrap (with falafel). We shared the Filthy Fries. I have had falafel in many different settings, but this was some of the best. Soft and flavorful. The pickled veggies were perfect and then there was the great adobo sauce. Now the Filthy Fries are the star. It was a massive plate which easily could have been a meal on its own. So good! There was so much food, my wife had to get her entire bowl to go. It was a fantastic meal. #Veganuary

Amazing brunch - Edit
The food was decadent and the cocktails, expertly crafted. The French toast melts in your mouth with crunchy sugar crystals, and the hollandaise sauce/bacon/tofu on the big ben were out of this world! Would love to come back for the sammies, street corn, burgers, smoothies, and cheese sampler!

So Delicious- fav vegan spot in Charlotte - Edit
This place is a gem. The servings are large, the food is unique, and the bakery always has new things!! It can be on the pricey side
Read moreHeads up! There is a 15% service charge already added to every order. They still flip the square tip screen to you and the tips start at 18%. I always tip, but I started coming less bc my meals were so expensive- after I realized the service charge I understand that I was tipping 35% or more! Helped me be able to afford coming back 🙏🏻 love this place
Pros: Unique choices
Cons: The hard to catch double tipping

It should be a vegan Monument - Edit
Decor first: they do a magic trick. There are Vegan messages everywhere, but it isn't in your face! It's there to be admired if you like.
Read moreThe patio brings me here when there are closer places to eat.
Food: Banging. "Lekker." Gyat smacking good food. Try everything. It ate. That is just the restaurant like part. There is also a deli counter with deli food and deserts. It's the only place in NC to buy the famous Rebel Cheese and their unbelievable brie. (Good enough to fool and blow away the sharks on Shark Tank).
Bar: The drinks are more like what you would get at a rooftop bar at a big city's most expensive hotel. Swanky. Hand crafted in front of you, yet more quality focused and flavor experience than juggling shakers. (Even though some drinks are fascinating to watch being made).
Final note: I understand the owner, Richard, is a bit OCD about cleanliness and hygiene. A huge plus in my book.
Pros: Food, Service , Patio

Love the fresh in house made food - Edit
I always make a special trip to Noda to get food here when I am in Charlotte for work. I love the spring rolls and the desserts in the case. I’ve honestly never had a less than excellent items from here. The wait can be a little long but the vibes are great and it’s fun to look around at all the decor or people watch on the front porch while waiting for your order.

Tasty but pricey - Edit
I mean sure the food is good but I can’t justify the price. I spent over $30 for breakfast and I only got one dish and a coffee. That’ll probably be the only time I go here unless I get a substantial raise, lol

Went for brunch and wow was this amazing. We shared the Big Ben (avocado, fried tofu, just egg, cheese, hash brown, tomato, spinach, bacon, and corn waffle in a tasty sauce) and the Churro Frenchie (french toast, crusted in cinnamon sugar, drizzled in chocolate sauce with whipped cream). Just delicious!

Top Drawer - Edit
Had Atoonish sandwich and an Earth bowl. Both were wonderful. $5 add for avocado on the sandwich was a bit pricey, but tasty. Tipflation has hit with the suggested tip starting at 18%. As the food was delivered, I asked about the water we ordered, and he pointed to the water station. Turns out my $8 tip was a bit much for carrying out a sandwich and a bowl. Still all in a great vegan dining spot. We will not hesitate to return, but will adjust tip to the level of service received. No indoor seating. Front porch is covered. Rear garden has many umbrella covered tables, but possibly not the best choice in passing rains.

Fantastic Off the Beaten Path Option - Edit
Wowowow so I came into the area to pop into a local cat cafe (Mac tabby - highly recommend and offer alt milks) and we found this spot. I’m so glad we did. I had the Sarie Marias which was an amazing sweet and spicy chile fried cauliflower with pineapple sticky rice INSIDE a grilled pineapple. LET ME TELL YOU. One of the best things I’ve eaten in a minute. I also had the salted caramel choc bomb and usually don’t like heavy chocolate. But it was actually very light. And not too sweet. Just right. Highly recommend. Also they have live music and a huge patio space with an outdoor bar and wine bar. Kind of a place that is good for everyone!

The best patio - Edit
I was in Charlotte for business and visited at the end of a stressful day. The best part was the patio, with its picnic tables, umbrellas, string lights, and tree canopy. It was a tranquil, comfortable place for an informal meal. I had the Sabie Sabie Sandwich, and it was very tasty, though not what I expected: It was advertised as a bahn mi, but in fact was a veganized Reuben. The raspberry chocolate mousse bomb was an indulgent dessert, big enough to share. The sandwich was $17, so be prepared to spend a bit.
