A Mini Voyage of Discovery - Edit
I was ready to be dazzled by the food on offer here, given its location, and the fact that I had to crawl through the travesty that is the JBR traffic to get here, I was hopeful of big things. Alas, didn’t quite pan out as I had hoped.
Read moreThough there were a few quality items that I sampled, the burger and mushroom risotto being the two that stood-out the most, there wasn’t the depth in choice that I was hoping for. As this was such a prime spot in a upmarket setting, I was expecting fireworks when all I really got was a sparkler. That being said, the biggest revelation to come from my visit here was that I seem to have grown a fondness for Turkish delight. As this was the only non-fruit based dessert option (the fact that there was one was a major boon), I rather reluctantly gave it a go and was astonished to find that not only was it palatable, but pretty damn delicious!
This aside, I can’t say that I’ll be in a hurry to head back here, though I would should I ever be asked to do so.
