We ate lunch here and it was a really nice experience. The food was quite good, but the hot dog was a little bit dry. The CAT’ KEBAB was very good. But the highlight was the cats. I love that the restaurant is now fully vegan and that they are supporting a bunch of cats. They give you a rule book when when you sit down with a list of rules of interacting with the cats and how you can donate to them. I think you can also apply to adopt cats. It makes it feel very respectful and like they are truly putting the cats’ interests ahead of anything else.

Update: i used to like this place, but it changed radically. There's a hostile vibe now and you barely hear people talking. They have a lot of rules now, and if you caress a cat and he hisses at you (which is not ideal, but can happen) they start tapping the glass like you're committing a crime. As soon as you enter the café you have someone coming at you asking where you want to seat and with a menu, and thus used to be a relaxed place. They charge 70cents more if you want oat milk. I just don't like the vibes. Cakes are good though, nothing to say about the food.

Obligatory visit for cat lovers! - Edit
I went to many cat cafés in the world and I would say this one offers really nice food. It's fully vegan too, unlike most similar places. We really like the fact that they offered several versions of Francesinha (local specialty), including a gluten-free one. We had a great time!
Read moreYou can choose to either eat in the restaurant room (without the cats) or outside where the cats can freely go. We ordered first, then paid a visit to the cats in their dedicated room, until our food was ready. Then we went back inside to eat. Some people were sat outside and we could see cats going on and around them, which could be annoying while eating. But it's down to you, as long as you don't feed them with human food.

Fully vegan cat cafe 🐱 - Edit
Food was really good and probably the best value we had in all of Porto (2 main meals one menu of the day which was two courses, plus 3 drinks was under €30). The cats are really friendly and the staff obviously care a lot about them which was really nice to see. Our toddler loved it and didn't want to leave!

I ordered the traditional Francesinha and it was very tasty. I ate outside and there were a few cats roaming around. After you order, you can go in the room with all the cats. I highly recommend this place, so many vegan options and adorable cats.

It’s a lovely place. The cats were so lovely and I really appreciated the fact that they gave you a set of instructions on dealing with the cats along with the menu (though I do wish they actually checked if everyone complied with it). The food was lovely and I especially liked the francesinha selection. I’m only giving 4 stars, as I really did not appreciate the fact that smoking was allowed there. I really don’t think it’s good for the cats in such a small and enclosed outside area

Such a lovely concept of getting to spend time with animals & enjoying a fully vegan menu. There are so many options to choose from to eat and drink and you have the option of sitting indoors or outdoors. They have clear rules on how to behave around the cats and can tell the animal welfare is a priority for them.

Then I spent some time with the kitties in their room (they are free to wander outside to the outdoor eating area or sleep/eat/chill in an indoor area)

We weren’t sure if we wanted to eat here because we just wanted a hot drink and cake, but at certain hours you have to buy a meal per person in order to see the cats. I am glad we decided to stay in the end.
Read moreThe team are super friendly, the food is incredible, the interior is very warm and welcoming and there’s an entire room and garden dedicated to the cats and hanging out with them.
We both had a francesinha, which was delicious, and shared a side of fries. Later on we ordered the raspberry coconut cake, the chocolate orange cake and a hot chocolate. It was a hot chocolate like nothing I’ve ever had before, essentially like having melted chocolate in a glass, as opposed to a standard one in the UK. It’s very sweet so be warned, you need a strong sweet tooth!
The cat room has rules, it limits the amount of people inside and you shouldn’t disturb them, only let them come to you. There’s currently a very friendly orange cat who sat on our laps and loved cuddles. Just be respectful!
Highly recommend a visit here.

We visited this restaurant twice during our month-long stay in Porto because our cat-loving daughter was obsessed with dining by the cats. The restaurant is very cute, has a great outdoor terrace in the back, a few tables in the front to eat as well, and plenty of great food options (including delicious prato do dia). All of the food dishes we tried were delicious, in particular, a coconut rice and tofu dish with red peppers. Definitely recommend, especially if the cats are a big draw.

Lovely decorated place with the possibility to chill among the cats (in a separate area). The sauteed mushrooms in white wine were grrrreat! So were the aubergine, toast and hotdog we had (we went twice, we don't eat THAT much). Plus the staff is very friendly.
