Vegan Cheesesteak - Edit
I tried a Philly Cheesesteak with Seitan and Mushrooms on a whole wheat bun which was pretty good! They offer also freshly pressed juices and baked items. Service was really friendly!

Great Vegan Spot Near Kung Fu Necktie - Edit
I was at a metal show at Kung Fu Necktie and was looking for vegan options for food and was so pleasantly surprised by Nourish Philly. Everything was great and the dishes are great for sharing. It’s located in a great spot for if you need good vegan food on the go. My husband, friends, and I will definitely be returning next time we are in the area.

Great neighborhood spot - Edit
This place has a pretty big menu. We got a buffalo quesadilla and a large divine platter (you choose 5 items) with kale, oxtails, jerk chicken, quinoa and beans, and butternut squash with spicy mushrooms. My partner loved the buffalo quesadilla. I’m not a fan of melty cheese, but I agree it had a lot of flavor. The divine plate wasn’t bad, but I thought the oxtail and squash with spicy mushroom were too sweet for me. I would probably order something else next time.

Lots of mushrooms - Edit
Everything is vegan, but relies on mushrooms for meat substitutes, which isn’t for everyone. Still good though!! Lots of seating and to-go drinks and bakery items.

Mushroom heavy - Edit
If you’re not a fan of mushrooms, you might want to rethink coming here. But if you love mushrooms, this is your spot.
Read moreWe got a divine plate with 5 selections, an extra piece of fried chick’un (I didn’t want to get 2 pieces for $5 AND have that take up one of my 5 selections, so we just got the single one for $2.50 on its own. That was plenty for the 2 of us. It’s gigantic!) and we also got the cheesesteak “that Philly jawn”
The winner by far was the cheesesteak. It was a little too drippy with oil, but the flavors were excellent. (Even the ketchup drizzle surprise on the bread.) it seemed like this was made with portabellas. Plenty of filling for the roll. (Maybe slightly too much, but that’s fine, we ate what fell out with a fork, and it was just as enjoyable. It will absolutely get all over your face, so plan accordingly)
The chick’un was fascinating! Enoki give a super interesting texture. Just make sure to eat it from the correct end, because I ended up pulling almost all my mushroom out of the filling because I started from the base, and my teeth wouldn’t saw through the fibrous mushroom and it slid right out. Oops! But eating from the correct direction, the other end is a bit more tender and will be more likely to stay in place for the duration. Either way, the batter is super flavorful and perfect! I didn’t mind that my later bites had very little mushroom inside.
The divine platter was hit and miss.
The kale was excessively salty. (Even my salt loving husband was taken back by it. The flavors were excellent, but the salt levels were unpleasant. Dial that back and it’d be on top.)
The Mac and cheese was good. It seemed like it had carrot in the sauce. (I wonder if it’s a riff on the classic vegnews Mac and cheese recipe.) it was creamy and the pasta was nice and tender. Maybe not enough nooch to be considered “cheese”, but it was still a tasty creamy pasta dish.
The black rice was simple. Doesn’t seem like there were much in the way of flavorings for that. It had the texture of risotto.
The curry plantain was fine. Exactly as stated. (Uses starchy green plantain in case you were wondering)
The oxtail sauce had a really nice subtle allspice-type flavor, but the mushroom was a bit too firm for my preference. (Which may be what nourish is going for, but I wouldn’t get it again.) I’ve been spoiled by sedjedo’s oxtail, this version pales in comparison.

FLAVOR BOMB🔥🔥🔥 - Edit
First vegan spot we hit in Philly and it totally hit the spot — @nourishphilly 💥🌱
Read moreWe started with the Vegan Tings — half buffalo, half BBQ. Made from king oyster mushrooms, battered and fried to crispy, juicy perfection. Unreal.
My hubby had the Vegan Fried Chick-Un Platter: crispy enoki mushrooms, creamy mac & cheese, and sautéed kale — ultimate comfort food
And I had That Philly Jawn — their take on the classic cheesesteak made with Portobello mushrooms and Michael’s Savory Seitan (@MichaelsSeitan), plus onions, peppers, vegan mayo and ketchup on a whole wheat hoagie. A must when you’re in Philly.

BEST EVER!!!!! - Edit
I will not be able to adequately capture in words how good the food was. I ordered the steak, egg, and cheese. The sandwich was HUGE and DELICIOUS. Love that the place is fully vegan. The space is super cute and the vibe was immaculate when I was there (chill reggae music playing, staff was super friendly and helpful). The only thing that might not be ideal is that the space is a little on the smaller side and might not be great for large parties. 11/10, definitely recommend.

Wide variety of flavorful options - Edit
Nourish has a super awesome Jamaican vibe and atmosphere about it. They have an extensive breakfast, brunch, lunch, and dinner menu. They also have raw or alkaline options for those interested in that.
Read moreWe got the Vegan *Tings*, curly fries, “That Philly Jawn”, and Famous Fried Chick'un Sandwich.
We liked the wings, they were very tasty, but the cut carrots on the side of the dish did not seem very fresh. (Would have been nice to have given the fried/processed nature of our order)
Curly fries were great. Famous Fried Chickun Sando was tasty, but a little dry, and be warned, it falls apart easily! I enjoyed the mushroom that made up the “chickun”.
Didn’t realize the Philly cheesesteak was going to be spicy😒Not sure what the sauce covering it was. We didn’t end up eating it.
I do hope to come back and try breakfast or brunch sometime! The options look awesome. I also will try the salad, a platter, or a Devine dish. Excited to continue to explore this menu. Next time I will also double check about spicy levels.
Pros: Vibes, Extensive menu options, Live, real plants
Cons: Spicy is not marked

Oh my goodness - Edit
Finally got food from nourish after being there for events/getting gifts for friends since I had an Uber eats gift card. Even with food getting cold from delivery, the bites of egg sandwich were still toasty and flavor wise was amazing. I’m excited to get up so I can eat it in the AM (ordered to have something for breakfast since stores are closed today).
Read moreGot the divine dish for dinner- tried each of the 5 sides and it was all so tasty. Extremely filling and is probably ~4 meals worth of food. Veg mac was unique but incredible (and I’m not a huge mac cheese person). Kale and terriyaki “steak” were delicious and full of flavor! Squash also extremely tasty and the quinoa was nice!
Pros: Friendly/amazing staff, Delicious food, Colorful and fresh ingredients!

Best in Philly! - Edit
Where do I start... Our family came here to look for hearty food to cap off the night and it did not dissapoint. I built my own divine platter which was absolutely amazing. All the flavors blended and sang in my mouth the whole time. You can't go wrong with any menu item, not joking. The chicken cheesesteak, birria tacos, and raw vegan tacos were all hits in the family! The portions were also very generous. For dessert, we enjoyed the spirulina cake and peach cobbler which were again, outstanding. We even took an extra Jamaican beef patty for breakfast the next day and it was equally as delicious. The star of the show had to be the vegan Oxtail from the divine platter. A.M.A.Z.I.N.G. You choose your path here, junkie or health focused, there is a tasty option for everyone.

Yummy vegan comfort food - Edit
You order at a counter just past is a little shop they have set up near the entrance. A while later, the dishes are delivered to your table. I was with a group of 6 friends, and we all received our meals at different times. We ordered a large variety, so we shared. Very tasty. And very filling. Everyone enjoyed the food and the place. Nothing fancy, but comfortable enough to hang out together for a long while, eating and talking.

Grease Bomb! - Edit
I had the Vegan Chick’n platter. The inside were really tough mushrooms (Inoki?). If you tried to cut or bite into it the entire thing came out of the deep fried crust. The crust was tasty as “comfort food” but way too greasy for me. The sides of Mac n Cheez and kale were excellent, though. We also had the meatball sub which had fairly tasteless balls which were, you guessed it, deep fried.

Birthday in Philly - Edit
It was my Birthday and I happened to be out of state. Nourish was a mere 5 minute drive away. Instead of visiting I had my order delivered. The food did not disappoint. Their cheesesteak, that philly jawn, was a god-tier sandwich. Definitely a must have. However I went for the Chik'un platter first. The texture and flavors on the chik'un were amazing. The mac&cheese was good. The kale... it wasn't bad per se. I expected it to be cooked until wilted down. This was more of like a springy fresh kale. It wasn't bitter or tough which is good, but as a personal preference i prefer my kale wilted. Overall the food was amazing. My "slice" of carrot cake was huge. I got to share it with 2 others so that is a blessing.

100% vegan, really delicious! 5 stars! - Edit
This restaurant is 100% vegan, confirmed by the manager and workers. Food was just amazing-- affordable, low key amazing Jamaican vegan food! Mac and cheese was just okay. Tacos were AMAZING, best in Philly-- as attested by my Mexican fiance. Also the plantain curry was incredible, as was the "no-tail" and the alfredo chickpeas. But the Mac and cheese was meh and the quinoa was undercooked.
