Sweet little spot - Edit
Very cute spot! Lots of options and everything looked SO good, it was so hard to choose what to get. Love how they list the ingredients for the muffins/ packaged items. Really enjoyable and hope to come back!

a tale of 2 cafes - Edit
The Good:
Read moreThey source other local companies high-quality items to sell. I could only sample the sweet stuff, which was superfly. My family all loved their items and sought this cafe out.
The Bad:
I called to ask if I could eat there if my allergies could be avoided by anything on the menu as I have done thousands of times. The person referred me to the website she claimed had all the ingredients listed. It does not. If it did, I wouldn't have called. She then quickly dismissed me, and I couldn't eat there except a few sweets that the fam got as add-ons to their good-looking meals. Pretty sure the items wouldn't be able to, but wanted to ask anyhow, but the dismissive tone needs improvement.
Pros: meals LOOKED good, fam said they were good
Cons: the staff needs to learn how to be better

Read more2023 update - Came back again and had the delicious bimbimbap bowl. Everyone here is very nice! I have come here many times and it is always great! Plus it feels like a lot of non-vegans from the neighborhood come too! And I really like that!

This is as good as it gets for true, whole food plant based options. Amazing, hearty salads and good protein options.

Nourishing! - Edit
The name of this place is totally fitting. Everything that I’ve tried on the menu so far is filling and delicious, plus very fresh! Both locations are awesome and the outdoor seating is a nice option. Also both in very walkable areas of town.

OMG YUM & FAST! - Edit
WFPB and FAST service. Very friendly staff. The food is YUMMY!! Savory Brekkie bowl is SOOO fresh and clean and local / organic when possible. I LOVE THIS PLACE!! Tofu is organic (at least today so ask if you care as it’s not labeled organic). Seasoned with Braggs Amino’s from what I can taste. Nice sized portion. I’ll definitely be more than satisfied when done and I’ll be back!

Pros: WFPB, FAST, Yummy!
Cons: Limited indoor seating 16 seats!, Not enough locations lol, Organic tofu may or may not be available everyday

Great food, great staff! - Edit
The food was absolutely amazing, I remarked that the grilled cheese I had was possibly the best thing I’d ever eaten! I also had a beautiful latte. The menu was extensive and there were muffins and donuts etc on display too. The price was reasonable, I paid approx $27 including tip, I had a very large sandwich with avocado added on and a latte. My sandwich was oily but not in a greasy food kinda way but more like a rustic Italian olive oil kinda way. Highly recommend.

Recomendable 😁 - Edit
Precioso lugar 100% vegano. Pedí un bowl con arroz integral y muchas verduras y una salsita que era una delicia. Las porciones son súper grandes! Me terminé llevando para comer lo q sobró luego. Buena relación calidad, porción y precio😄

Irreplaceable - Edit
I'm a San Francisco tech worker. My company offers daily catered lunch through Grubhub, and I choose to order from this restaurant every single day because this food doesn't make me feel heavy or gross like most other restaurants (even other vegan restaurants). This food is clean enough to eat daily, which is irreplaceable for me. I genuinely don't know where else I would order from if Nourish Cafe didn't exist.
Read moreAnd it's tasty, too! I think these other reviews complaining that the food is bland have never experienced low/no oil whole-foods-plant-based food before. If you order from this restaurant and expect the super rich, super decadent "typical" restaurant experience, you're probably going to be disappointed (and you have tons of other options for that in S.F.). If instead you want tasty, satisfying, healthy food that leaves you feeling good after you eat it, then Nourish Cafe is just perfect.
I have tried every bowl on the menu (I haven't tried the smoothie bowls since I try to avoid coconut). My favorite by far is the Golden Gate Bowl (the mushroom+yam combination is delicious). I order the Golden Gate Bowl pretty much every day, plus a cup of soup. Occasionally the bowls feel a bit like they need more dressing, so I sometimes order a little extra dressing. I've also tried the Frittata Sandwich which was super tasty. The vanilla cashew chia pudding is good if I'm in the mood for a treat. The bowls are huge portions; I always get plenty of leftovers out of it.
I've never actually been to the location, only ordered through Grubhub, so I can't comment on what the restaurant itself is like.
I can't express enough how much I love this restaurant! I will probably continue eating here daily as long as I continue to have catered lunch through my employer.
Pros: Healthy, tasty food, Huge bowl portions, Delivery is generally very timely with Grubhub
Cons: Occasionally the yams are a bit undercooked

Biggest salad bowl ever! - Edit
Cute place: small, but clean and bright. In addition to bowls, smoothies, breakfasts, coffee, etc., they also sold lots of different vegan healthy packaged snacks. I had a Nourish bowl, which was so big, that even my big appetite wasn't enough to conquer it! It was full of healthy items, though the yam slices were under-cooked. I really appreciated the no oil salad dressing! My friend had the Frittata sandwich which, for about the same price, was much smaller, but very tasty. We also appreciated the completely compostable packaging. Pricey, but that's San Francisco!
Read morePros: Huge, very healthy bowls- enough for two, Lots of fully vegan, healthy choices, No oil salad dressing

Supersized Buddha Bowl - Edit
My oh my, this cafe delivered one of the BEST Buddha bowls I've ever had dining out, and is one I am eager to return back again.
Read moreThe Golden Gate Bowl with Tuna ($20) was a massive bowl with spring greens, brown rice, mushrooms, avocado, roasted cauliflower and yams, all topped with a red pepper almond dressing. It came out in an enormous soup bowl that really could feed two people. The variety of fresh veggies and ingredients made this bowl absolutely delicious. I added tuna (made from nuts and seeds) but looking back, wish I had gotten their tofu instead.
For dessert, I couldn't help but order their Chocolate Chip Cookie ($5.50), which is now in my top three best vegan cookies of all time. It was incredibly dense, chewy, and lasted for a few days. You could tell it was baked in-house which made it even better.
The restaurant is on the smaller end with limited seating inside and outside. I was lucky enough to snag a table outside so I could enjoy my bowl on a beautiful day. I did not have a fridge at my hotel, so I ended up consuming the entire bowl. Sorry not sorry.
Pros: Large portions, Homemade baked goods
Cons: Pricier side
