Way too expensive - Edit
They had very few options in general, more for desserts though. I liked their soup but the mushroom pizza was way too salty and the mushrooms were very oily.
Read moreThe staff was very friendly though and the atmosphere is nice too.
But way too expensive for what it is - I had a soup, a pizza, a tiramisu and a kombucha for 55 euros. The food was really nothing special and half of it I couldn’t eat because it was too salty. So, unfortunately, would not come back or recommend this place.

100% Vegan - Edit
It is so nice to go into a place and know everything on the menu is available to you. We went twice while in Oslo for 4 days since I didn't leave room for dessert the first time. Both visits were excellent with a friendly staff. Portions are large so pace yourself and leave room for dessert.

Another vote here for Nord Vegan. Lovely staff and atmosphere. Slightly unusual set up in that you go in and order what you want and they dish it up in front of you there and then. (Think high end school canteen, where everything is fresh and yummy and the staff don’t hate you)
Read moreThings like burgers and pizzas also available which they cook separately. No real theme to the choices as you see from the menu.
Gorgeous cakes too.
A haven in Oslo and Norway which is perhaps less vegan friendly than other European cities.
Really wanted the cook book but no space to bring it home 😔

Excellent option in Oslo - Edit
The restaurant was modern with a pleasant ambience. The menu had a good selection, I visited on 3 occasions and had the beyond burger with fries, lasagne and mushroom pizza and was very happy each time. Staff were also good, before they brought the pizza to me they informed it had been burnt and will start again, they gave me a juice as an apology, I appreciated the honesty and proactivity.

Disappointing - Edit
We asked if the chk'n burger had soya in it because my son can't eat soya. They said yes, so I tried to order the Beyond burger instead. They insisted that that too had soya in it. I asked them to check, because Beyond Meat make it clear that their products don't have soya. But the chef and staff insisted the burgers had soya! They don't. Beyond Meat don't use soya in their products. So either the Beyond burger at Nordvegan isn't Beyond meat or they don't know what's in the food they sell.
Read moreI had the Thai curry. It was canteen quality with mushy cauliflower. My son had a pizza which he left 2/3rds of.

Super yummy - Edit
My boyfriend and I found the food delicious. I had a soup with bread and it was very nice, my boyfriend had a satay noodle bowl which also came with a spring roll (very yummy), and tofu skewer which also had the satay sauce. The sauce was really flavourful and tasty.

So much choice: oyster mushrooms are a must - Edit
The staff behind the counters serve your food as you watch. Yes it is pre-prepared but it looked and tasted very fresh. We had Indian Curry, truffle mushroom ‘chicken’ and a pecan pie. The mains were served with rice and salad, a choice of salad dressing. We added fried oyster mushrooms to the top of the curry. The portions were generous and we both felt full afterwards. We would definitely return.

Not that impressed… - Edit
I was encouraged by the positive reviews to go but honestly I was not convinced… I don’t like the fact that the food is presented like that in a buffet style sitting there for ages. The other half is basically a salad buffet. Super expensive also. I ended up taking a carrot cake since it was supposed to be their signature dessert but I wasn’t impressed. The Biscoff latte was expensive and didn’t taste like Biscoff.

Very good restaurant - Edit
This restaurant has a nice atmosphere, it is clean and the food is laid out buffet style but you order and the plate will be prepared for you. We tried the soup of the day, the lasagna and the noodles. All was very good, what stood out for me was the cheesecake which was soft and creamy. We also tried the apple pie and again it was really good. The staff was lovely and smiley. It's a wonderful spot to have a cup of tea or a full meal with friends, family or by yourself. It's very close to the Historisk museum which is absolutely worth a visit.

I really enjoyed my meal here. - Edit
This is a very conveniently located restaurant, near the old city square. Just a couple of blocks from The Grand Hotel. There is a menu on the wall over the hot bar, but most of the food is served cafeteria style, out of warming trays. I got the lasagna, which came with a mixed green and vegetable salad. I also got the crispy sushi roll. The lasagna and the sushi were very good. I also got a couple of jalapeño poppers. They were good, but if there was any spice to them, I didn’t notice (welcome to Scandinavia). I got a big slab of carrot cake. The cake portion of the carrot cake was excellent. The icing, sadly, was the typical bland and largely flavorless white icing that vegan places often put on carrot cake. Note to everyone: Carrot cake is frosted with CREAM CHEESE icing. The cake was 9/10. The icing was 4/10. I digress.😄

Nice Restaurant, food lacks flavor - Edit
The restaurant is very well located and quiet Cosy. Everything looks really tasty and appealing, unfortunately the chicken and mushroom curry I had, was not so tasty and lacked seasoning. The chocolate cake on the other hand was quiet good.

Brilliant Cafe - Edit
If you are in Oslo City Centre, it is highly recommended to come here. The food is very healthy and very tasty. The cafe is a really clean place centrally located in the city centre. I have come back again before I fly back to the UK as it was so delicious and reasonably priced. 100% recommended 👌

Delicious and great service - Edit
Amazing vegan food, lots of options and really quick service - the staff make the food right in front of you and they’re constantly restocking so you know it’s fresh. It’s pretty expensive - 210 NOK (about £15) for a bowl of noodles, but that’s unavoidable in Oslo. Worth a visit!

Delicious and healthy dishes - Edit
What I later realized to be common at restaurants in Oslo was a buffet-like display of food, but the dishes are singular menu items vs. being able to add a little of everything to your plate. I opted for a salad-bowl type dish, full of fresh delicious veggies (which was much needed after a long flight.) However, they also had plenty of heartier dishes if you needed something with a bit more weigh to it.
Read moreAll food is ordered at the counter and the employees were very helpful guiding my partner and I (and easily accommodated our english only language skills.) The space on the inside was a bit on the small side, but they had a lovely patio in the back that's perfect in the beautiful summer season of Oslo.
Definitely a necessary stop for vegans traveling through.
Pros: Good variety, Outdoor seating
