We made a booking for 5:30pm and we’re seated promptly after arriving. After waiting longer then expected to be asked for drinks I had to ask the bar for drinks myself.

The meal was nothing short or perfection. Delicious, mouthwatering, perfection.
Unfortunately, this is where the honeymoon ended for us.
After clearing our plates and them being removed, we waited about 30 mins. Despite attempts to get staff attention we were left ignored. No offers of desert, no offers of drinks, no bill. Nothing.
I had to approach the till as we were sick of waiting. Any desire for desert or after drinks completely eroded.
The food was amazing, the customer service however, sucked.

Had both breakfast and dinner here whilst I was visiting and everything I ordered was incredible. The ‘egg’ is amazing. Loved the ‘calamari’ was better than anything I’ve had prior to being vegan. The duck pancakes were the best I’ve had. Staff are super friendly and great atmosphere!

Vegan power! Food was unbelievable, truly remarkable, fantastic and beyond imagination. That Blue Cheese (!!), come on! And the Calamari (!!!), whaaat! I forgot that it was vegan, I just noticed how good everything was.
Read moreNegative: minus one ⭐️ comes from the fact that I had made a booking for 8PM and this night they were actually closing at 8PM, but the restaurant didn’t contact us in any way. Luckily we were around there already at 6PM and I asked if they had space and they did. But if we hadn’t been there so early, then our night would’ve been ruined as they would’ve closed once we’d gotten there.
But all in all the service was good and they even called us a taxi as it started to rain and we didn’t have umbrellas.
So five star experience but minus one because of their fumble with the reservation.
Pros: Foods I didn’t know existed as vegan
Cons: Reservation process should not be this difficult

Read moreWe had two entrees: the zucchini steaks and chick’n satay skewers. Both were divine! The zucchini was cooked three different ways and with a very tasty sauce. Very very tasty and I liked the portion sizes... although not for how much they costed.
For mains we order the creamy fettuccini in white wine with mushrooms and a beyond burger with chips. the beyond burger was the most burger-satisfying burger I’ve ever had.
The pasta however was quite bland. It wasn’t terrible but I wouldn’t get it again, especially for the price.

The creamy pasta was so creamy and the burger was so hearty and delicious. The calamari and prawn taco were so realistic that it felt strange eating them as a vegan 😂. Would recommend anyone and everyone to come eat at No Bones.

Great quality food. We got the banquet and only gripe I’d have about the selection is that the zucchini dish was a bit light on for what was meant to be a feature. Service was pretty average. Started out fine but after 90 mins we’d only received two dishes out of five and then two came together and dessert almost as soon as we finished mains. Pretty sure we’d been forgotten for a bit there.

I have never been disappointed by this place. The food is delicious, they make great cocktails, the staff is truly lovely, and there is a wonderful ambience about the place. My favourites are the prawn tacos and the salt and pepper squid but there are so many great options. Highly recommend.

Went with my non-vegan partner for date night and she really enjoyed her jackfruit burger and fries and I really enjoyed my eggplant, bok choy and wild rice. Surprisingly filling for the size. Great drinks choices too for everyone.

The Best in Byron! - Edit
We loved this place so much, we came twice on our vacation. When we came back the second time, they had a mostly new menu. Everything we had was some of the best food we've ever eaten. The drinks are amazing and creative. You can create a cohesive multicourse meal with their menu. The calamari is insanely good. The staff are very friendly, and our food came out really quickly. One of our top dining experiences ever, absolutely worth the money.

We visited No Bones during our stay in Byron Bay, and it has to be one of the best vegan restaurants! We couldn’t work our way through the menu the first night so returned again! Majority of options were GF and a great place for a nice dinner spot in Byron Bay.
