Tathata, Da Nang - Edit
Defo a step up from the cheap & cheerful places. Still inexpensive though. Very nice f&b. Relaxed vibe.

This is a hidden gem - Edit
This is a hidden gem. The food here is fantastic. Actually this restaurant is voted to be one of the best vegan restaurants worldwide in 2025.
Read moreIt has local vibes and as far as i could recognize a lot of local people eat here. The prices are fair and the staff is very friendly. At noon you should be aware of a longer waiting time. Anyway the food is worth it.

THE Best vegan restaurant - Edit
This is by far THE beat vegan restaurant I’ve visited in Vietnam and even better than many we have back home in Australia.
Read moreThe service is incredibly nice. Do consider that the preparation and serving of food may take a little as it seems to be a fairly small restaurant. Either way, 100% worth waiting a little.
The food is best enjoyed with one of the many drinks they have including a vegan egg coffee!! Which, as my non-vegan friends said, apparently tastes very similar! Definitely recommend egg coffee, coconut coffee, matcha with cheese foam. All drinks are fairly sweet but delicious! ~
As per food, I highly recommend:
- pancake (banh xeo): very crispy and humongous
- pineapple fried rice: good balance of sour and sweet
Will be back for sure ~

Absolute excellent.. - Edit
The food here has always either been between just plain good to absolute excellent..
Read moreThey seem to get great flavors going in all their dish's..
The Indian curry today was sublime, as was the winter pumpkin soup the previous day. And the day before that it was something else.
Squeezing their craft onto various plates and bowls, from a tiny kitchen is in itself some kind of magic trick.. let alone the quality that is implanted in each dish.
Great care is given to the presentation along with the layers of flavor and the textures.
Like when you get that wonderful perfume fragrance from a ripe red chili but not the burn from the seed because they removed it to give you the best part of that chili experience..
If one had to look for fault, I would say that the premises need a make over. Not that it's not without charm right now but it could be as good as the food and right now it's not.

Excellent !!! - Edit
The vegan pho was genuinely excellent. For a moment I forgot the broth contained no meat flavors, which is a real compliment.
Read moreThe bowl was generously filled with fresh, natural ingredients, and the side plate of sprouts was equally abundant and crisp.
This is a modest, worthy place serving flavorful Vietnamese food without animals on the plate.

The Best Vegan Food I had in Da Nang - Edit

The best vegan dining experiences in Da Nang. - Edit
Tathata is easily one of the best vegan dining experiences in Da Nang. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere feels calm and peaceful, with a beautifully designed space that makes it more than just a meal — it’s a whole experience.
Read moreThe food is outstanding. Every dish is thoughtfully prepared with fresh ingredients and rich, natural flavors. The vegan Hue-style noodle soup and Hoi An-style “chicken” rice are especially impressive — flavorful, well-balanced, and surprisingly satisfying even for non-vegans.
What really stands out is the variety — the menu offers a wide range of Vietnamese and international plant-based dishes, so there’s something for everyone. The presentation is beautiful, and portions are generous.
Service is warm and friendly, and the staff make you feel very welcome. Prices are reasonable for the quality you get, making it great value overall.
If you're in Da Nang, this place is a must-visit — whether you're vegan or just curious to try something different.

The meal was okay.. I’ve had much nicer food in Vietnam. They also seems to sell some drinks that aren’t on the menu? Like beer and some brand of soda. The food was average I could probably make better at home
