This place is cool. A bit loud, but an awesome idea. Love the arcade games and board games. Mostly one game is just too loud (the smash the round buttons game lol) so don't sit near it. Don't forget to play Crazy Taxi or Time Lapse. Staff is friendly. It's a busy place with great drink options. Mac n cheeze was amaaaaaaazing, but it seemed most other food options were very fried and salty, so prepare for that.

Salt is, without doubt, the greatest thing that happened to food. I am trash for salt - I will eat Vegemite out of the jar as a treat. But the food at Netherworld is sometimes overwhelmingly salty - a common pitfall with vegan food & a common tactic at bars to get you to drink more. Luckily, the alcohol range is on point and always interesting. I'm a gamer and a nerd and the whole place is a hoot. There tonnes of retro arcade games and board games - it's a fun place to drink and let loose your inner child or unleash your outer geek. Do be warned, it can be difficult to snag a seat.

Not for the truly health conscious but delicious none-the-less. Burgers, dogs, sandwiches, sides- all vegan by default but can be made non-vegan by request (aka carnivore). Woo hoo my first international review!

I love Netherworlds food so much. It’s an awesome concept to have the entire menu as default vegan, with customers having to request changes if they don’t want vegan. I’d love to know how many people have eaten the vegan options without even realising. The food, especially the burgers, are some of the best in QLD. Also, any tap beer that is not vegan is clearly labelled. Highly recommend!

Seems a bit unfair I can’t give this place 5 stars given the base menu is completely vegan and others have to ask for animal products to be added. I love this concept because it’s making it easy for non-vegans to try and love vegan food. Everything on the menu rocks but my faves are the Brugatory and the Tempura Mushies which are incredible. Mac and cheeze also worth a mention along with Demon Drummies. Get amongst it. Play Galaga and Daytona while you wait. What could be better?!

We ordered the bunyip burger, cheese burger, chicken burger, and poutine. Also the tofu.
Read moreAll 3 of us decide that the burger patties were pretty rubbish, like something you would habe eatn 15 years ago. The poutine was just gross and stuck together in one big mess.
The saving grace was the tofu which was really crispy well flavoured and decent in size.
Probably won't be going back to eat though its a cool place to hangout.

Wish I could give 5 stars as the menu is totally vegan unless you specify the ‘carnivorous’ or ‘dairy’ options, making non-vegans feel like the weirdos for once 😂 This place has such a fun vibe! We travel from the Sunshine Coast just to go for a cocktail and some awesome vegan junk food! The food could fool any non-vegan, it’s that tasty. We went on a Sunday afternoon with our 1-year-old and ended up meeting the owner who is so much fun, and all her staff amazing too 😍

I had the Cajun ‘chicken’ patty burger and chips. I’m guessing the party was seitan, but I didn’t confirm with the kitchen. The burger was great, good fillings, sauce and really tasty! Chips came with paprika salt as well which is a plus, though they might be a bit salty for some... The addition of old school arcade games are great as well, good way to pass the time whilst waiting for your food. It is a shame they aren’t fully vegan, cos they easily could be!

I come here every week and the food is consistently amazing. Everything on the menu is vegan with the option to add meat and dairy for an extra charge, which is a nice change to usually being charged extra as a vegan at other eateries. There are often specials and the menu changes from time to time but my all time favourite is the Burgatory cheeseburger. Most drinks are vegan too - all wines and cocktails (including sours made with aquafaba instead of egg). Just have to watch out for some of the beers - ask the friendly and knowledgeable staff. Lots of arcade games and regular events. Wish I had the option to give 5 stars.

I had a late Sunday dinner today at Netherworld in the Valley this afternoon ... it's located on the corner of St Pauls Terrace and Brunswick Street ... the restaurant has a great vibe as there are heaps of pinpall machines throught the venue and live music this afternoon ... my son and I had a burgatory burger each and shared a plate of seasoned fries ... the food was served quickly considering the resturant was really busy and full of customers ... moderately priced and delicious food with excellent quality, quantity and presentation

This place is amazing! Definitely the most memorable part of my trip to Brisbane, and probably one of my favorite spots I’ve been to in recent memory. It’s a fun place with a wide range of pinball machines, arcade games, and even video game consoles. There’s a really nice array, including fighting games, shooters, side-scrolling games, and old classics. And if that wasn’t enough to entice you, they have a great selection of beer and an absolutely mouthwatering vegan menu.

We opted for the mushroom burger, eggplant katsu burger, and udon “mac” and cheez. Everything was delicious. I’m salivating right now just thinking about it. Really fantastic comfort food, and it’s complemented perfectly by beer and games.
In short, this is an amazing place. If I could give it 8 starts, I would. If you find yourself in Brisbane, don’t miss Netherworld.
