Tasty but please halve the servings! - Edit
I made a reservation for dinner. It was a Friday night and they were very busy so we need to wait. It wasn’t too bad waiting time. We ordered using the QR code. I ordered sesame ramen with tofu as my protein and some extra toppings. I also ordered a strawberry thick shake and some eggplant crisps. My partner ordered the stir fry with Japanese curry sauce and rice.
Read moreWhen we saw the stir fry come out, it looked like food enough for 3 nights for 2 people. My partner enjoyed it but there was no way he could eat it all. They do provide take away containers but as we are in a hotel we couldn’t do this.
It took a while for the rest of items to come out. The strawberry thick shake was thick and it was delicious.
The eggplant crisps were light and tasty. There were so many though as to be a side!
My ramen came out and it was nice with the salt and pepper tofu and the broth. The bowl was super cute. It was a large serving but manageable.
Staff were lovely and the restaurant is cute.
But the serves are just so large.

😹 I think the ramen is manageable! But the stir fry was a whole new level.

Incredible! - Edit
Cute little anime-themed Japanese restaurant. Fully vegan, HUGE portions, decently priced, and superb quality. Shout out to the amazing staff who gave us one of our meals for free as it was delayed due to circumstances out of their control. Very much up there with one of my fave vegan restaurants in Brisbane!

OUTSTANDING OUTSTANDING - Edit
OMG the food and the service is OUTSTANDING. My partner is vegan and I'm not, and I love it just as much as he does. The food has so much flavour, and you wouldn't know you were eating vegan. All I can say is WOW, it's AMAZING. Highly recommend.

A light miso ramen - Edit
I ordered the basic miso base with alternative char siu, "yellow noodles" to replicate egg noodles, extra ginger and nori. This is an excellent bowl of ramen just as it should be. The fake meat looked like it didn't belong but the flavour was good and not too strong, though it did absorb some of the broth and become spongy.

Umami! - Edit
Out of all the vegan restaurants we were able to try in Brisbane, Neon Ramen would have to be the best one. The anime vibe was cute and the food is full of flavour! Customer service was so friendly and the restaurant was clean. In support of the restaurant, we have purchased their dinnerware and they were happy to ship it to Sydney.

The food there is sooo good 😍 went there twice now and it was delicious! The portions are really big so bring containers to take the rest with you - but such a big meal for 22AUD (and you can eat the rest the next day) is just amazing. The ice cream is also really good!

Great vegan ramen - Edit
I was pretty impressed to find a vegan ramen place in town, and a delicious one too. The decor might not be to everyone's taste but it does make it seem to me that the shop is a labour of love. I went shortly after opening and sat at a window seat since I was alone, and had no issues ordering/paying via the QR. It should be noted that any toppings are extra on top of the base ramen so it does end up a little pricier than some other places (mine came to $25 with about 4 toppings) but the portion size is quite decent and you won't leave hungry. All in all, a tasty meal and I would definitely recommend it (even better that VeganYumm is right next door so I got to check out both together).

No thank you - Edit
My review is strictly based on the atmosphere of this place as we left before ordering. After being told to sit where we want, we were told we could not sit in the only table that offered normal seats. All other chairs were tall stools that were not ideal. Despite it also being 1130am, the music sounded like we were in a night club. It was so loud that you could feel it pound throughout your body. The seating area is so small that there is no where to not have a speaker right above you. I could not even hear the other person that I was with properly.
Read moreWe considered getting food to take away, however the QR code required to order from did not work.
I doubt I will return again as there are plenty of other options in Brisbane for food.

Favourite local restaurant - Edit
I was so excited to hear that an all vegan ramen restaurant was opening near me and Neon Ramen hasn’t disappointed. I’ve been here about 5 or 6 times and the food is always fresh, flavourful, and in a huge portion. The staff are lovely and always provide a great service. I’ve tried both the ramen and stir fry and I have to say that the stir fry is my favourite by far. I would highly recommend the Japanese Curry sauce and their Yam Doughnuts! The house sodas are incredible, particularly the watermelon and lychee. I can’t rave about this place enough, all my non-vegan family and friends are big fans too! Also very handy to stop by Veganyumm after!

Funky Ramen Place - Edit
I had two hours to get off the plane, take my mum somewhere to eat and get back on the plane again. What an awesome place we chose. The ramen was so delicious and for a big eater, I couldn't finish it. Nice funky venue, lovely staff, cool decor. I will totally be back.

Worth a try, and worth going back - Edit
I've been there two times now, once with my family, another with a friend. If you're going with small kids, you must book the booth (there is only one), as other seating is on high stools. The 'baby ramen' is only $5 and perfect for kids. One of my kids got the faux-chicken nuggets, which were a bit spicy for him, so best to ask for extra bland for fussy kids.
Read morePros: Very good food, helpful service.
Cons: Only one booth (which is necessary for children)

Oishiiiii - Edit
Unique place with anime-inspired decor. Went on a Saturday night and it was packed, definitely worth booking ahead! The place is fairly small and seemed like larger groups get the better tables in the centre, while groups of 2 are seated at a counter thing that runs around the outside of the seating area, with big open windows looking down onto the car park and busy road.
Read moreOrdered through a QR code on the table. Food came out super quickly, katsu fries were perfection and the ramen bowls were HUGE and very tasty. Tan tan broth had a bit of kick 🔥 and the sesame garlic chick’n was very realistic and flavoursome.
Such a cool spot, will definitely add to the eating out rotation 🩷
Pros: 100% vegan, generous portions, build your own dishes - unlimited options
Cons: counter seating a little crowded
