Cannot recommend this place more. Worked out at £40 a head (including tip) for my husband and I to have a four course meal and a drink each, but the experience felt like a more expensive restaurant - and you could, of course, pay less by ordering fewer courses!

It’s definitely worth going outside of the touristic area to have an actual vegan experience! You should reserve a table otherwise the chance to get a table is very low as it is crowded.

This place is truly a hidden gem. It is a bit further away but that’s why I can absolutely recommend this place. Most of the places feel like too touristy but this restaurant has a very creative menu with Italian dishes I was looking forward to! If you’re in Rome don’t shy away from visiting this restaurant. It was the best restaurant in my trip to Italy

This is an excellent vegan restaurant. We enjoyed our dinner at Nativa very much. The menu was imaginative and the execution first class. Flavours were subtle and classical rather than 'in your face'. Service was very attentive with the two owner(s), who were clearly enthusiastic about their restaurant, in attendance. The restaurant space is large and airy with the tables well-spaced. The decor is simple and relaxing. The restaurant is pricey but vegan restaurants in Rome tend to be quite expensive and our meal was certainly well worth the bill.
Read moreThe only real negative is the location which for a visitor to Rome is inconvenient. West of Vatican City, it is a metro or bus ride (and note that inexplicably the metro seems to close at 9:00 PM), and is located in a somewhat insalubrious area opposite a laundrette and next to a take-away. We wondered whether we were in the right neighbourhood when we were looking for the restaurant. Nonetheless, when we are in Rome again we will return but this time have a taxi pick us up!

Read moreThe owner as well as the rest of the staff gave us such a warm welcome and great service throughout. Even though we mixed up our reservation and came one hour late they managed to set up a table for us outside - even though it was a Saturday night and the place was packed!
On to the food - the menu was so well planned and we had a hard time choosing. We were recommended the appetiser tasting platter, which was really enjoyable with flavours on point! On to the main course we had the saffron artichoke tagliatelle as well as the risotto with asparagus and chickpea tempeh. Both delicious and the pasta was really cooked to perfection!
Would also recommend the tiramisu for dessert, but the pistachio and white chocolate cheesecake with raspberry coulis was to die for!!
Worth every penny and if I could I’d go back every week for the rest of my life. When in Rome - Do yourself a favour and book a table here!

Read moreThe hosts were incredibly friendly and welcoming despite our dishevelled post flight looks. We sat down to the most incredible flavours and taste of Italy and left very full and ready to start the holiday.
We really recommend a visit to Nativa (book in advance for evenings via their IG!) as you will not be disappointed.

Best vegan in Rome - Edit
Probably the best vegan restaurant I have tried in Rome. Welcoming bistro with modern warm decor, dog friendly and very friendly and efficient staff. The food is amazing, love the rice balls, the fresh pasta and the vegan cheese platter. I still haven’t tried the mouth watering desserts because I enjoy so much the appetisers and entrées that I am always too fool!

Nativa is truly the best vegan restaurant ever! They have both Italian dishes (on their vegan version) and other more sophisticated, original and super interesting options. All the ingredients they use are organic and I swear everything is SO tasteful. They cook everything (including the vegan cheeses OMG) and the desserts are the best I’ve ever had. Honestly. The owner, Valerio, is so so nice and warm and makes you feel very welcome. Great staff, great food and super nice location. Even if it is not in the city center, is very close to Vaticano and super well connected (bus, metro and city train arrive to that area in about 10 minutes from the center) and it is located in front of a park so I really saw it as an oasis in crazy Rome: green, beautiful, calm. So worth the visit! Thanks, Nativa!

Read moreIl menu, anche se con prodotti stagionali (per fortuna!) è ricco e i piatti sono molto originali. Abbiamo provato: bruschetta con formaggio vegetale e “salmone”, spaghettoni con le ”sarde”, involtino di tofu e patate, panna cotta e vegamisù. Era tutto davvero squisito!
Il personale è accogliente, simpatico e gentile.
L’ambiente rilassato e tranquillo.

Ieri sera abbiamo cenato in questo delizioso ristorante. Non è stata la prima volta e ogni volta abbiamo mangiato benissimo. Servizio impeccabile. Raccomando vivamente la carbonara che è qualcosa di superlativo e i vari dessert. Ma comunque tutti i piatti sono squisiti e assolutamente non banali.

This is a nice place, with friendly/ helpful staff. The food was really nice, although quite expensive. As an appetiser I had the rustic pizza with stewed onions which was really tasty & different. My partner had the crispy seitan sticks, which were nice but nothing special & quite pricy.

This restaurant is a real gem. Not easy to find in Rome vegan restaurants like that. Cozy atmosphere, interesting menu and simply delicious food. We particularly liked the Arancini starter, the spinach ravioli and the cheesecake ... but we left with the desire to try more dishes the next time. Also the service was spot on. Highly reccommended
