A MUST in Bogotá - Edit
Conveniently located in the center and run by Muiscas (indigenous people from Bogota who respect animal life). Delicious and local.

Love the vibe of this place! - Edit
I really like the location and the vibe it was giving, sadly I couldn’t taste much but I got two small empanadas filled with vegetables, seeds and potatoes. Delicious!

So good I went back for dinner - Edit
I was only in Bogota for about 24 hours, but luckily this place was within close walking distance of my hostel. I had my first taste of patacones here and they did not disappoint. They're smoothies are also really good!
Read moreI like when I go somewhere and they're out of something because it's not in season as it shows they think about the food the provide - this is that kind of place.
Pros: Great food & smoothies, Reggae music, Laid back
Cons: Bit confusing when you first walk in, A bit shabby (but I liked it for that)

Worth a visit - Edit
Unfortunately it's going to be a conflicted review. I went here a few times early on in the year and loved it, the cosy atmosphere, the homemade, authentic, even artesanal food (they make their own peanut butter and marmalade, for example). I enjoyed the look, the service, and the food.
Read moreYesterday I visited the place again after returning to Bogotá and had an incredibly disappointing experience. We (me plus 2) waited for our orders for nearly two hours and watched people who had arrived an hour after us being served before us, even the same dishes. We asked whether they had forgotten about our order and the waitress blamed it on the amount of customers. It's true, there were a considerable amount of people in such a small capacity restaurant, but it in no way explains waiting for two hours without a fair warning ahead of ordering, and even less the fact that others were served before us. The chef exited the kitchen at one point and saw us, and had a look on her face that said "oh crap". We really do believe that they forgot about our orders and failed to even admit it or apologize for the long wait, but instead blamed it on a busy day. On top of that, one member of our party was served a drink he did not order but ended up having to pay for. The Kingston hamburger was dryish but otherwise tasty, while the two patacon dishes were disappointing. The patacons were small, very dry, and extremely hard. Upon leaving I asked for a receipt so we could figure out our own shares of the payment later, and had to ask several times before the waitress agreed to handwrite one. After we had left, I noticed an added service fee of 10% which I had not been asked about. (to my understanding, restaurants in Colombia have to ask before adding it directly to the bill) and I was absolutely not happy with paying
10% tip for waiting for food for two hours, being ignored, and served with a rude manner. The least they could've done is apologized for the delay.
I do still recommend this restaurant, I'm really sad about this negative experience because it really has been one of my favorite places to go eat in Bogotá. So maybe you'll have better luck with the service, and make sure they don't forget about you!
Pros: Excellent food, good prices, very authentic.
Cons: Quality of food and service not consistent.

I was not welcomed in a friendly way by the staff. Looked like everyone was ignoring me. So I took a seat after asking it to the waitress.

Comida vegana normal en el centro histórico de la ciudad. Está abierto todo el día, se puede desayunar, almorzar o comer. Llegamos tarde a almorzar y aún había opciones. Las trabajadoras son muy amables, especialmente las cocineras.

Good value for money - Edit
Cute little vegan spot. It had 5 or 6 tables for 2-4 people. I went here twice for lunch. One time I went exactly at lunch time it was full, but today I went at about 2 pm and there was plenty of room. I really enjoyed the food and the set daily menu is good value got money. Yet some dishes miss a bit of flavour. The “picante” (home made hot sauce) is nice (but mostly adds spice, not flavour)

Good option in La Candelaria - Edit
I would recommend going there for the location, friendly atmosphere and nice reggae-music, however the food has not yet convinced me 100 %. It is fairly good, but something just seems to be lacking in terms of flavor. And once I got a tamale that was still cold on the inside and clearly did not have enough seasoning. So I would say this restaurant is a good option for a very reasonably priced lunch menu, or if you are looking for organic fermented beverages, but you can find better veggie food in town.

I really love this restaurant, the food is creative and delicious. I came here at 8.50pm and told the kitchen is closed at 9 so couldnt order a good size meal, was told i could have these pasties which she then said only one is available, it came out cold and with no cutlery which i had to get 5 minutes later by myself.. i ordered a banana juice and they gave me something totally different that tasted disgusting so i had to waste it and still pay.. shocking !!!

A very pleasant place. Food tasty, but I ate better in Bogota. I liked the cakes most. I wanted to try a traditional drink there ("chicha" - a drink from fermented corn), but I wasn’t able to drink it - very sour, only for lovers of strong impressions. ;)

We went to Nativa for lunch. It was interesting to see that they have all the Colombian traditional food in vegan. We ordered tamales, and as mentioned by someone else, it was over boiled. We had tamales in neiva which were much better.
