Excellent and cute - Edit
Only one dish available including lots of (very small) portions. Perfect if you wanna try a lot of stuff, not good if you are really hungry. Not cheap too. Great people.

Delicious and the service was excellent! - Edit
We dropped in here spur of the moment while walking around Nara. The service could not have been better, they were absolutely delightful. I have dietary requirements, and they were so helpful! They explained each of the dishes, which were beautifully presented. The food was delicious and we left feeling pleasantly full! A bonus is that they have some little souvenirs that you can buy and the money goes to a cat rescue! They gave us some great tips with other places to visit. Thoroughly recommend!

Read moreI'd like my cafe to be a place anyone can enjoy same food at the same table if they are vegan or not, vegetarian or not, having food allergy or not.
My daughter had an egg allergy & childhood asthma.
I and my family had hard times especially when we traveled and had meals.
I want travellers who visit the famous land marks around here not to feel like us.
It made me manage the vegan, gluten-free & nut-free restaurant.
So I'm very glad to hear you enjoyed our Japanese vegan course!!

The sweetest spot - Edit
We had such a lovely lunch here. We got the set meal — appetizer, main, and dessert — all beautifully presented, even including a (nonedible) flower the owner had picked from her garden that morning. She is a gracious and thoughtful hostess, making sure everything was just right. The cat-themed decor was adorable and she supports her friend who creates much of the art and (I think, if I understood correctly) has a cat rescue.

The place is a little hidden from the outside, but once you step inside you’re welcomed with open arms. The two ladies are the sweetest you’ve ever met and they are passionate about food and cats, just like I am😎 The food is made with so much love and is so tasty. If you show them pictures of your cats they get excited beyond control. I LOVED it. We left the place with the biggest smile. Would definitely recommend.

Such a cozy little restaurant serving traditional Japanese food, vegan style. When I got there they only served the chef's selection menu. I can totally recommend it, you get a lot of value for your money. Each dish was delicious and new to me. The food is lovingly prepared and the owners take delight in explaining what the dishes are. If you're vegan and visiting Nara you HAVE to visit this place!

The set meal was delicious and beautifully set out. It started with appetizers, then the main meal, and then ice cream with fruit and a hot yuzu drink. The owners were incredibly welcoming and friendly and described each of the dishes and ingredients. Great atmosphere, highly recommended!

We came here on 15 Dec 2023 towards the end of the lunch hour. Only the set lunch was available but it was a real treat- beautifully cooked fragrant rice coupled with fresh and flavourful vegetables, topped off with excellent miso soup (with sweet bamboo shoots). We polished everything off our plates and had ice cream with persimmons for desert. A hugely satisfying meal served by two ladies who clearly take delight in the food they serve. A great meal!

Cute little restaurant in the city center. We arrived at around 1:30 on a Friday and the lunch set had already sold out, so we shared the standard set meal with an extra drink and dessert added. The food was obviously prepared with a lot of care and came with brief explanations by one of the lovely ladies running the place. Everything was delicious. The cold drink and ice cream were especially satisfying on a warm afternoon!

According to my husband,this was the best meal he has ever had.
Read moreHe was grumpy after I made him walk all over the place, so when we arrived and were told only the chef's special was available to eat in, he wasn't very happy. Even more unhappy when he saw how tiny the portions were but that quickly changed when he got a taste of the wonderful flavours each little dish packed. Not only that, but there's 3 courses with dessert and a beautiful pear juice at the end.
He actually did a happy dance.
We were then recommended where to go to find Australian coffee in case we missed coffee from back home. The customer service was immaculate.
So I hope you all do a happy dance at the end of this wonderful experience.

This small cozy restaurant is lead by two old ladies that are so sweet and lovely. It was so heartwarming to be here.
Read moreWe chose the bento boxes to eat in Nara Park and they invited us to wait inside for a lovely chat. They even recommended a perfect spot at a nearby pond to eat there.
The food was really delicious and it was a great portion. Besides that it is really not expensive. It think it was 1.200 Yen for one box.

Bought 2 lunchboxes from this wonderful cafe and sat by the near by pond to eat them. Not to be dramatic, but it was the most beautiful lunch of my life. Interesting and delicious fresh food, perfectly portioned and such good value. The people that run it could not have been nicer either. Cannot recommend this place enough ✨

It was an experience with this lovely café and their owners. They only had the chef's menu and two options of dessert. I truly LOVE the food. The waitress explained me every little dish in English. It was crazy how good could taste something as simple as a pumpkin. You have to go there if you visit Nara. Period.

This a lovely little restaurant in the center of Nara. The food was tasty and the staff was really friendly. When we came for lunch, they only had a course menu for 3300¥ pp which we shared (for 800¥ extra we got a second dessert plus extra drink). It's not the cheapest restaurant we've been to, but the menu was actually enough for the both of us so It's alright. :)

WONDERFUL restaurant and a MUST in Nara! The owners are very, very sweet, kind, friendly, happy and the food was absolutely devine, delicate, perfectly-well falvored, healthy, and we left with a feeling of peace. We had the lunch menu that included starters, the main set, and dessert and tea/coffee and all was so fresh, and well seasoned. If I lived in Nara I would go every week!
