I kid you not: This may be the best restaurant in whole of Japan (at least in my humble opinion)😉The meal set was really extraordinary with carefully curated Japanese specialties, homemade fermented foods and refreshing drinks.

I Still Dream About Here.. - Edit
It’s been over a year since we visited and ate at this truly wonderful spot. The staff was lovely, the atmosphere was cozy, and the food was so so SO good. My partner and I still talk about their food and how great it was. We also bought a piece of kitty art that looked exactly like ours at home! Please do NOT skip over this place!!

We got here because Ramuna was closed and Ginger Bath was out of lunch (sold out). But it was a pleasant surprise! The restaurant was empty and we were happy that we could enter and promptly be taken care of. We ordered 2 set meal lunch and the sweet lady came to explain each side dish/course of the meal. It was such a wonderful experience! Everything was delicious and freshly made. I just found a bit expensive and a little food... But in Japan is generally fewer food in comparison with Europe. That's why they are so fit LOL

Adorable presentation; delicious food - Edit
We ate here for lunch before visiting the park; arrived just before opening on a Friday so we didn’t have to wait. The staff are so friendly and sweet, the chef’s menu was artful and so yummy. It doesn’t look like a lot but it does fill you.

Read morestill to this day i am grateful we managed to get a seat in this restaurant as it is quite small, and many people came in after us who had to be turned away. this restaurant was an incredible experience, with the chef personally coming to explain each dish to us and list the ingredients. i have never experienced anything like that before and it was just so heartwarming to know how much care she poured into her cooking. the restaurant also has a lovely cat theme with postcards on the wall and cat chopstick rests. this was a lovely touch and was well appreciated by me as a cat lover😄after the meal, we had a nice chat with the owners who complimented my hair and bag, they were such lovely people. we got to put a sticker on a world map they have to see where in the world all their customers came to visit from.

We came here after we couldn't get to another restaurant in Nara, which was just overloaded with people) there was only a set available to order, but it was quite large and delicious. The set consisted of appetizers, miso soup, fried soy meat and steamed vegetables. There was also a dessert (very tasty ice cream) and tea with a persimmon leaf. Incredibly friendly girls, the staff, all the food is beautiful and unusual, credit cards are accepted, there is not much space inside, but quiet enough.

One of the best places we’ve eaten in Japan - Edit
I felt so happy leaving this restaurant. The owners were so so lovely and we spoke to them about cats and dogs and it was just a lovely family run place. The food was delicious and the special yuzu pepper sauce was amazing - we had to buy some to take home!

This spot was SO delicious that I almost came back a second time!! It's run by three lovely ladies and so small and hole-in-the-wall-ish that it could have been someone's living room. The ladies also support a local cat rescue, and one of them hand-sews little doily cat collars for sale! (Yes, I bought one.)
Read moreThe food is absolutely incredible. We went for lunch and ate the only set they offered at the time - a starter, a main, and dessert. My favorite part of the starter was the sauteed eggplant coated in a delicious teriyaki sauce. Then the main was REALLY what set this spot apart. They had the most delicious soy meat braised in a beautiful brown sauce, possibly the best tofu and miso soup I've ever had, and this delectable yuzu-pepper sauce you could dip the steamed vegetables in. GAHH! I had to buy some of the sauce to bring home!
The ladies were so kind to us, and at the end of our meal, had us mark where we were from with a sticker on a world map by the door. How cute! They asked us to tell everyone back home what we thought of the place, so here I am - please spread the word, HappyCow!
Oh, and the ice cream dessert was *delicious.*

We LOVED this restaurant! We sat in and had the set menu -every course was a work of art and delish. The service was incredible and friendly. It is a bit pricey but well worth it if you can afford to splurge. It honestly, seems inexpensive when you consider all the effort that goes into preparing and serving the food.
