Nice Vegan Hungarian Dishes - Edit
I tried the goulash as well as a sharing platter and I highly recommend it. The cakes served there are also excellent.

Okay - Edit
With high ratings both here and on Google Maps, we were excited. Initially, I had planned to order something typically Hungarian because I got the impression that they had a lot of that product, but once there, I didn't think anything "Hungarian" looked that appetizing so I ordered falafel with bread and my partner seitan with potatoes and tartar sauce. Unfortunately, it was a disappointment. Of course, I can't swear to how the cooking was done, but... my feeling based on the taste and consistency was that it was semi-finished. Sad because it was a nice environment and staff. I can add that the sauces were good, but as I said, the food didn't live up to what I had imagined.

Kind Atmosphere and Service! I tried the brasov style Tofustew which was a bit bland but the menu was promising, would come back to try other dishes😄

My Friend and I made a Reservation for Dinner. The Menu offers a variation of different Dishes. A big plus was the Selection of Home made Cakes, desserts and even ice Cream! The Food we had was very tasty, the service was very quick and the servers were really friendly.

The staff is super friendly. In-door seating is spacious and pretty. Food was great, including traditional Hungarian dishes as well as vegan classics (Pizza, Falafel,...)

Hearthy but nothing to write home about - Edit
We ordered a platter for 2 which was ok but everything was deep fried - if you go down this route you will need more salads and freshness. Avoid the advertised juices as some sort of energy mix was almost only carrot powder being poured through ginger infused water

Great dessert ok food - Edit
We got the lavish platter for 1, the seitan stew à la Basov, and the gyros platter. The lavish platter was ok - lots of interesting stuff but it all seemed kind of dry. I liked the dipping sauce however. The seitan stew was tasty but it needed more stew and less potatoes, and the gyros “meat” was excellent but the salad and pita were just ok. The restaurant was advertising a festival that seemed to feature a lot of pseudoscience like iris diagnostics and other alternative medicine practices that can be harmful and dissuade folks from using actual science backed treatments. The saving grace of the restaurant was the dessert! The Zserbó was interesting - fig flavoured - and the mille feuille was outstanding ! Sadly, however, they don’t use real chocolate for their desserts, only carob. They also don’t serve caffeinated beverages.

11 out of 10 - Edit
I had a platter, a portion of fermented cashew cheese, a portion of homemade bread, 2 scoops of ice cream and I took away with me a croissant and a yum cake. And my bill was £20 in total. Very reasonably compared to other places in Budapest (in comparison- I had a little portion of hummus, 5 little falafels and flatbread a beer in brewery bar - and that cost me 20 quid too - it’s also on happy cow - avoid).

It was just okay. Everything is quite greasy and we had hoped for more flavour. The goulash soup was the best..

Lovely place - Edit
Ate here on our second night in Budapest. Was unable to get through to make an on the day reservation, so we went around 5.30pm and it wasn't busy.
Read moreWe opted for the Goulash Soup to start, which was lovely and the small portion was perfect for an appetiser.
We followed this with a pizza and a luxury platter for 1. The platter was good, all of the components were good, but it just didn't seem to go together.
Too full for dessert, but not wanting to miss out we got a Mille Feuille and an apple and walnut pie to take away, and both were AMAZING! If we were in the city for longer we would have returned for more!

Great flavours - Edit
Big restaurant with two main rooms and lots of places. The night we ate they had live music. We tried the tofu stew but I wasn't a big fan of the smoky flavour. The zucchini and brown rice was absolutely delicious the sauce was very special. The ice tea was very good as well. Staff is very friendly and the kitchen is very fast. The Zserbó dessert was a bit strange flavour for me!

Food was nice, prices fair, place is outdated and overhyped - Edit
Well, the food was ok, prices were fair.. For that huge amount of reviews, we really expected much more.. Interior really outdated, restrooms from 90's.. We have been open to try anything from them, meals have been nice but the recommended selection of drinks really didn't match meals at all and the presentation was like from Italian disco thirty years ago.. I believe that this place can be great, it needs touch up and fresh mind to update the concept..

Visited in Sep'24 and I was super excited for a full vegan restaurant with such great ratings. It's a lovely place and the desserts did look great. We ordered the goulash and a recommended potato dinner. We were a bit disappointed, the food was just ok.

Nice and cozy - Edit
The restaurant also has a pastry shop, where you can choose from a wide variety of desserts. When I got there, the restaurant was quite empty. Given that only two tables were taken, I had to wait to be seated. The food was quite good. I had Napfényes Lavish Plate for 1 and a rose homemade lemonade. I also took 2 desserts in a box for later. Both were very delicious.

Okay! - Edit
Overall, the experience was somewhat underwhelming compared to the glowing reviews. If you’re unfamiliar with Hungarian or Eastern European cuisine and would like a gentle introduction, this would be a solid choice. However, I did feel quite uncomfortable with the service — the waiter consistently addressed only the man accompanying me, even when making recommendations for my meal, seeking his confirmation rather than speaking directly to me. It was a small but unsettling detail that left an impression.

I had goulash soup and the Hungarian pizza for lunch here. The gulash soup was amazing but the pizza was nothing special. I wish I had tried something else like one of the shared dishes. 4/5

Chill atmosphere with purple and orange colors. Bad service. First we got the wrong soup. Then Goulash came 40 min after ordering!! I asked about it after around 20 minutes and the waiter went to check but didn't come back to say anything. We only received salt and oil for mixed salad after asking for it. I waited 20 min more for my main dish before asking for it. Got it a few min later, along with another random mixed salad. We wasted a lot of time waiting for our food, which we could've spent enjoying the lovely city of Budapest. We got a free dessert as apologies which was nice and tasted great.
The Goulash tasted ok. The Napfényes Lavish Platter was not that good. The ice tea tasted like lemonade.
I probably won't come back here during my next visit to Budapest.

Really lovely place. A proper restaurant in the back with a great vibe. Serving traditional Hungarian dishes along with pizza, pad Thai and seasonal dishes. The front has a brilliant patisserie to eat in or take away. Really impressed!

Nagyon finom ételek, italok. Nagyobb étkűek kevésnek ítélhetik. Imádom a kinti asztalnál az ételek elfogyasztását, ad egy plusz hangulatot. A kiszolgálás kedves, a választék bőséges.
