ポンパドール本店 - Edit

High class - Edit
I recently had a vegan meetup meeting with the Yokohama vegan group here. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and the class of this vegan restaurant. One of the few best I have visited so far in my already long vegan life. Highly recommend. Staff was very professional and friendly. I wish them all the best and a lot of success in the business!

Hidden Gem in Motomachi - Edit
M's table is probably the poshest, reasonably-priced, vegan restaurant I've ever been. Place like this usually serve those healthy salad-like vegan food that's pretentious and left your stomach half empty even after you've finished your meal. To avoid this problem, I ordered the katsu curry which came with a small salad and soy meat karaage.
Read moreI found the salad rather pedestrian, and the soymeat was on the salty side.
The curry came with two different gravies, a Japanese style and a coconut base curry with bamboo shoot and shimeji mushroom. Both curries are mild, but the coconut base curry reminds me of Thai red curry. Pair them with hot brown rice in the middle and two small nuggets of soy katsu, the curry dish was a nice hearty and filling dish that I did not expect. All and all, I am satisfied with the flavour and rather quick service.
I will probably visit this place again for an afternoon tea, since their cakes looked delicious, but if you are around Motomachi and want a quick curry lunch that is not coco-ichi, try this place for a change!

Tasty Soy Dan-dan Noodles and Great Staff! - Edit
I went to M's Table with a friend and we enjoyed our experience there. I ordered a vegan soy-based dan dan ramen, my friend ordered vegan curry, and we both got soy-based vanilla ice cream and the total was under 30 dollars! the food was filling and affordable for its price! I highly recommend any vegans out there or anyone who wants to try good vegan food, because the menu has a wide variety from vegan curry, vegan sushi, vegan noodles, vegan cakes and sweets, etc. I also liked that I was able to get a "happy cow" sticker here!

Lovely Atmosphere, Lovely Food - Edit
We spent a delightful afternoon at M’s Table enjoying lunch and a light dessert. The burger, curry, and chocolate tart were all excellent. I want to come back to try the vegan high tea (only available 3-5pm) but wasn’t disappointed by what we were served at all. The restaurant is located on a quaint shopping street by the river, and is just as cute inside as it is outside. Overall I highly recommend a visit!

Best vegan food in Yokohama - Edit
I’ve probably been here about 10 times, and without fail, every time is a culinary experience! The staff are always super friendly and helpful; they play beautiful relaxing jazz; and their food is honestly the best food I’ve had in Yokohama, and probably in my top 5 of Japan.

Our sushi plates kept us guessing with every bite and came with a hearty miso soup that made me wonder why I don’t make miso soup more at home. They have vegan wine which I thought was quite excellent (though I’m no wine connoisseur). The desserts felt special and well crafted—I usually don’t go for desserts because it feels like I’m just paying for sugar, but the mille feuille felt quite worth it.

Mainly vegan restaurant near Ishikawacho - Edit
About 6 minutes from Ishikawacho station. The dinner menu is great but the lunch menu is much more limited. The food is delicious but portions are small. Even when the restaurant is empty the preparation takes a long time, so be prepared to wait.

Amazing fully vegan food! - Edit
The restaurant is located close to Chinatown and it is easy to find. They speak good English and they also have an English menu. The food was delicious, tasty and presented in a high cuisine style. For approximately 12 euros you can get a basic full course (drinks ane dessert included). One could only wish for slightly bigger portions.

Must-Go in Yokohama - Edit
As others have said, this place is excellent! It has a very elegant setting - the service feels like you are in a high end restaurant, and yet it is extremely well priced. I have been back several times, but I think the most notable dish for me was the katsu curry. I love the soy meat that they use! Try and bring your appetite if you can because you’re going to want to try everything. The soup is delicious, and the gyoza was perfectly cooked. It has a very nice interior as well. Overall it has always been a very pleasant experience - you should definitely go here if you are in Yokohama!

Elegant and tasty - Edit
Easy to find (walked from Ishikawacho station) on a lively shopping street, this restaurant was surprisingly elegant and yet comfortable. The set lunch menu was delicious, reasonably priced, and left me comfortably full. We arrived at 2 pm, so the wait was not long and food was served quickly. Our waitress was extremely professional and spoke good English, which was nice because not much (if any) of the menu was in English.
Read moreMy only quibble with the food was the karaage starter. It looked like little croquettes and the inside was a “ground meat” texture, rather than a more typical chunk. The taste was very mild. The tiny dessert spoon was the perfect end to the meal. Iced tea was bitter and over-steeped. The ramen main was wonderful, a creamy sesame broth.
Pros: Elegant atmosphere , Generous set lunch, Great service
Cons: Slightly odd karaage
