Best falafel in Brussels - Edit
Small place with 4 tables. This is specific for small bistros that sell falafel. You get falafel in a bread bun with a salad on the side. For the salad you choose your own veggies and for the falafel you can choose things sauce. The falafel is one of the best I've ever eaten, it was smoothy on the inside and crunchy on the outside, very flavoured. The owner was very friendly. There were local people eating there as well.

Cheap and very tasty falafel - Edit
Cozy place to stop by and get one of the best falafel quickly served. Just be careful with the sauces, except the tahini one, others might not be vegan.

Friendly owner, make sure you have cash, get the falafel - Edit
Very cheap spot with very good falafel. There are two options: a plate of food or a falafel pita sandwich. I got both but you should get the falafel only. The plate has pasta, rice, lentils mixed together with some tomato sauce and fried onions over the top. It's not terrible but it's not nearly as good as the falafel. The owner doesn't speak much English and he's super friendly. We didn't realize it was call only until after we ate and it was time to pay. I searched all around for an atm but no luck. My buddy was eating nearby so he hooked me up with some cash.

Cheapest vegan meal and best falafel in town! - Edit
We definitely enjoyed the falafel pita we bought there for just 5€! The falafel were super tasty and fresh and we were able to choose as much veggies as we like to fill in the pita (which is wholegrain, I guess - super yummy!).

Cheap falafel - Edit
This is the cheapest meal you will find in Brussels. It is a great value for the money.
Read moreThey place it in a whole grain pita bread, so that is a plus. Also you are able to put as much salad and toppings into it and eat it on the side.
It is owned by the Egyptians and they are super kind. I loved coming by for a falafel sandwich every now and then.
Pros: Good value for the money, Lots of salad, fast
Cons: falafel itself, no music

Nice falafel - Edit
Not so much to say really, nice falafel, good selection of salads and fresh veggies to go with it. Friendly service. I've been here many times and probaly will continue to go here regularly.
Read moreYou get your salad in a seperate bowl, which seems confusing to some reviewers. But since you also get a fork you can scoop as much in your pita as you want. I really don't understand how that could be a problem. It's not like they force you to eat the salad and pita seperately or something :-)

Brussels classic - Edit
I love Mr Falafel. I was a regular guest here during my first stay in Brussels (2012) and I go there from time to time now, when I happen to be in the city centre. It's very good value for money - 5 euros and you always leave the place full. For that you receive freshly made falafel in a whole grain pita + a plastic box for you to fill with the salads of your choice. The owners do not mind you re-filling the box. Some of the salads and the garlic sauce are not vegan. There is however a tahini and spicy sauce that are both vegan and you can have as much hummus as you want with your sandwich. Highly recommended!

The best place to eat Falafel in Brussels ! - Edit
I used to live in the neighbourhood. As far as I am concerned, this is the best place to eat falafel in Brussels. It is fresh, fast and cheap. I like the fact of being able to pick the salad at the salad bar.

great falafel / bad serving - Edit
Mr. Falafel offers a fast-food style falafel in pita bread and you can take a bowl of salade from the salade bar. The vegetables are often not well seasoned and I don't like the serving - you get four/five falafel balls in a pita bread and you can add a sauce but that's all. The vegetables are served as a side dish.

My go to in Brussels - Edit
Mr Falafel has had my back on many occasions.
Read moreIt's not always easy to eat vegan, affordable, and yummy in Brussels but mr falafel is the place to go.
The interior is very basic, but the food isn't.
Very tasty falafel, with lot's of side salads to choose from buffet style. Some things contain milk but most don't and the owner is knowledgeable.
Filling lunch or dinner for 5 euro! Perfect

Not Bad! - Edit
We came here on our first evening in Brussels, as it was open late and we knew we could get something veggie to eat. I think perhaps we were expecting it to be more like falafel places we have visited in other European countries (Maoz, for example) but it was pretty basic. Not tons of salad choice and only a few seats/tables. But, the falafel was fresh, hot and delicious, so we couldn't complain.

Generally good, sometimes not clean - Edit
I go to Mr. Falafel fairly often, and sometimes the service and restaurant are wonderful. Sometimes, it's a bit messier--last time it was too much.
Read moreThe salad bar was filthy, and the man behind the counter was cutting his finger nails. The dishes were piled to the ceiling.
Nothing wrong, just risking hygiene. I suggest to take a look and see if it's clean, if it is go ahead, if not take your business elsewhere. I just wish they were consistant with cleanliness.
Pros: good falafel, salad bar, good price
Cons: cleanliness can vary

What is Mr. Falafel? - Edit
Do I come to Brussels every year for Mr. Falafel? Do I think Brussels Airlines connections to Africa (annual refugee and relief commitnent) are better so that I can justify visiting Mr. Falafel? Who is Mr. Falafel, anyway? The nice man who remembers my odd order ("pita with salad; no falafel) between mye? annual visits? Or the equally ice woman who smiles kindly at the crazy guy and his odd order? Which are the best salad "toppings"? Can I share your table? Is it too cold to eat outside?
Read moreThe answer to all of the above is "Yes, Please".
Pros: Custimized to Your choices. Nice people.
Cons: 8,000 miles from home.

Falafel - Falafel - Falafel - Edit
At Mr Falafel, you have two choices: falafel with bread and salad or a plate of salad and falafel.
Read moreThey make the falafel in front of you, you get to fill the pita bread yourself and choose the vegetables from the salad bar.
If you are the kind of person who can never choose from a menu, Mr falafel is the place for you :)
I would recommend if you are in the mood for Falafel (as there aren't a lot of other good falafels joints in Brussels) or if you want something filling and quick before a night out in the center of Brussels.

Yummy Falafel - Edit
This small but friendly falafel shop offers falafel and salad for €5. Tasty, fast and cheap. Some sauces are with dairy but almost everything is vegan. They use plastic for eating in or take away - shame bc I feel there could be a better option to plastic plates and forks.

Great Falafel! - Edit
This is the perfect spot to get falafel in Brussels. Only 4.5 Euros per sandwich as of June 2016, so it's a fantastic value. The falafel itself is about the best I've had anywhere, and the toppings are nice and fresh, with only a few being non-vegan (all vegetarian though). Cash only.

Cheap, Okay - Edit
Very cheap: just 5 euros for a falafel that comes with a mix of salads. All the salads except a couple were vegan. They weren't particularly good. The falafel was yummy, but was just plain falafel in pita. Maybe it normally has sauce, but it's not vegan? There was nothing else in it, which was really weird to me!

nice for a snack - Edit
Came here the other day for something quick to eat. I can say I was very impressed. You ask for a falafel wrap and you get a little tray to put whatever salad items you want in it. The falafels themselves are some of the best I've eaten. However don't go here if you're looking for a big filling meal. The only strange thing was that I spoke to the guy in French and he persisted on replying in English, not sure why.

Small place, nice food - Edit
I had dinner in Mr Falafel last Monday with a friend of mine. The place is very small, but luckily there was one free table and we were able to eat inside (outside it was a bit cold...!).
Read moreWe had falafel in pitta bread (but you can ask for falafel without the bread, if you prefer), which are really tasty. Then, we added some vegetables (olives were particularly good), hoummus (but tajhin is also available), and we had a great dinner!
The place is absolutely inexpensive if you think that it's Bruxelles (falafel: E4.50, drinks: E1.50).
PS: the whole place reminded me of Maoz Veg (like in Paris, London, NY...), but the atmosphere is much more easygoing, and falafel are probably better!
Pros: Good falafel, Good vegetables choice, Super cheap

Best Falafel in Brussels - Edit
Mr. Falafel provides the best falafel in Brussels and for a very low price (4.50€). The falafel are so fresh anybody can taste the difference with other fast-food restaurants. You can choose all the vegetables and sauce you want to put in your sandwich. All ingredients are not excellent but the combination with falafel and wholegrain pita bread makes me drool just to write about it!

Delicious and most affordable veggie place - Edit
My partner and I visited Mr Falafel on three occasions. Each time we had one of the two main vegetarian dishes consisting of a pita filled with 4 freshly fried delicious falafels, 15 varieties of fillings and 3 varieties of sauces. The owners are very generous allowing one to take as much fillings as one choses. I even saw other people going for a refill. Each falafel was 4.5 euros. From all the restaurants, supermarkets, macrobiotic shops we visited we found this was the most affordable place in the otherwise very expensive Brussels. The owners work hard so Mr Falafel saved us at 9.30pm on a Sunday when there were no supermarkets or other veggie restaurants open. As for cleanliness, it might not have Subway standards (the fast food chain) in terms of food manipulation but I have a very sensitive stomach and I was perfectly fine eating there. In addition, the sitting area and the kitchen and bathroom were very clean.
