Better than Mcdoe - Edit
Great alternative to McDonald’s which is ironically across the street. The meals look exactly like McDonald’s. Had the frowny meal combo, the burger was a normal impossible burger, the fries were good, and the nuggets are good texture but the crust has a bit of an after taste.
Read moreLoved that they don’t use single use practices, we got a glass coke bottle and an aluminum water bottle that I used and refilled for the rest of the day.
Pros: Affordable, No single use plastics , Alternative to McDonald’s

I had the cheeseburger which I found a little disappointing—the patty was a bit small and dry for my taste, I think I'd go for a double if I went a second time—but the chicken nuggets were really good. My highlight was actually the blackberry soda that came with the meal which had a really great flavour.

Vegan Eats in SF w/Cool Concept - Edit
Nostalgia hit 100% with the presentation of food (on point with the mega chain but veganized). Since we are in a new era and have access to EVEN more delicious food, it was just OK IMO.
Read moreService and personnel were top, highly recommend going even if just to check out the digs, there’s convenient parking adjacent to the establishment but it is spendy. Also, I’m sure it gets crazy in the afternoon, so I recommend going early. Enjoy!
Pros: All Vegan/Plant-Based with Top Service, Cool Interior with Private Booths and Decor, Attention to Cleanliness (Continuous Cleaning)
Cons: Comparable in Taste to Mega Chain (pro/con)

4 stars because I love what this place is about. Very tongue in cheek. Parodies the big box animal killer chain really well. Great aesthetic and great music too!

Read moreThe food was good but it wasn’t anything to write home about. Pretty basic burgers and nuggets. Fries were more soggy than McDonald’s and didn’t have any salt. I don’t like how you have to pay for sauce.
A tad pricey overall for what you get. Inside was clean but there are no tables. There are three boxes in “happy meal” seating sections with benches on either side of each but no small table in the middle. I don’t know who designed that but it’s a terrible flaw.
Had to eat my meal in my car so I wish they had actual seating.
Staff was nice and friendly even with her being visibly overwhelmed so kudos to the young lady at the counter.
Probably won’t go back but cool to experience once.

It was quite expensive for such simple food (maybe a San Francisco thing?) I ordered a double with no pickles and they gave me a single with pickles so service was just about as I remember real McDonald’s 10 years ago.

On 1/23 they were open for pickup orders. Got a “not a cheeseburger” Frowny Meal and it was a very good imitation of the golden arches across the street. If you’re looking for vegan fast food this hits the spot. #Veganuary

This place has fast food down to a science. The fries and nuggets are hot, salty, and crispy, and the cheeseburger has all the nostalgic flavors of a classic fast food burger. Get the Frowny Meal for the full experience! Only note is that the meal doesn't come with ketchup by default.

A meal here is exactly like the fast food takeout from your (my) youth. Delicious, surprisingly not crazy filling. It deviates from McDonald’s in the dipping sauces, which are higher quality than you’d expect. Note, fries and nuggets don’t come with ketchup, so go nuts on the sauces.
