Interesting Japanese Izakaya Menu - Edit
Vegan Japanese Izakaya concept launched by the team behind Clover Plant-Based Kitchen & Bar (both menus are available in the same space, although the Izakaya is purportedly on the 2nd floor and Clover is supposedly on the 1st floor). Interesting concept and more unique menu items, but they can be a bit of a hit or miss in terms of taste. The ones I would recommend are the appetisers such as the Asparagus Minced Wrap, Tamagoyaki, and Tofu Karaage. The mains especially the ramen have been comparatively disappointing, especially since some of the premium modern plant-based substitutes have been swapped out when the price tag remains high (e.g. NextMeats has been switched out to poor-quality and flavourless gluten mock meat). Would also like to see clearer and more accurate menus, i.e. with photos that actually depict the dishes served (not taken from other online sources), labels on alliums (not relevant to me but may be of concern to religious vegetarians), etc. 5 to 10 minutes' walk from Nicoll Highway MRT Exit A via the overhead linkway, or from Bugis MRT.

Good vegan Japanese cuisine - Edit
Moriya Izakaya is Clover’s Japanese alter-ego, occupying the same space and using the same staff. This is a good thing, since you can order from both menus, further expanding the already extensive offerings. Just about everyone should be able to find something to love here. Personally, so far we’ve found the starters and lunch specials to pack the best flavors, but there’s plenty we haven’t tried yet so there may be other treasures to be found.

Good bento meal - Edit
I got a bento box of chick’n curry and rice which came with gyoza, miso soup, and veg. Good portion size for the price, was happy with the value.

Great menu - Edit
First of all, this is Clover Plant Based. I tried heading upstairs, but it was quiet, and they asked me to sit downstairs.
Read moreWe ate from the Moriya menu and were delighted with our choices. We shared a miso ramen, shoyu ramen, and yakisoba noodles, along with sides of kimchi and teriyaki meatballs. Everything was delicious, and we were amazed at how different each dish was. The service was great, and they even remembered us since I had given them HC stickers.
It’s definitely worth a visit and has easy access via the downtown line.
Nearly forgot, we had matcha ice cream, which was really sorbet, but if was tasty as…
Pros: Staff, Food, 100%
