Colorato e cordiale - Edit

Nice food and atmosphere - Edit
I liked this option in assisi! I am glad I only read the reviews after going two times.
Read moreThe first time I went for a coffee and dessert. Delicious!
The second time I went to have lunch. Also very good. The vegan flan was sooooooo amazing. The lasagna was also nice. After days of not finding good vegan food it was like a Flavour Bomb.
The staff is special 🤣 but for me I liked the vibe.

Warm welcome & tasty food - Edit
Even though they didn’t serve food that day, I could order either soup or the tortilla dish which was tasty & made with fresh ingredients. It was nice to feel welcomed!

Delicious food, kind staff - Edit
They have a vegan menu right on the doors and other options on the menu inside. The staff was so willing, the owner explained everything to me, what can I get and what’s inside. I got polpette di soia and it was truly delicious. Probably the best vegan meal I’ve had in Italy so far, amazing flavors.
Read moreI also got the rocciata (traditional dessert) and that was another great surprise.

Great food, service, price - Edit
Clearly marked vegan options. I got the burger (€8.50) and it was very delicious! I also got the sognando i tropici smoothie and it was also delicious! The service was very friendly and fast.

VEGANI STATE LONTANI DA QUESTO POSTO - Edit
Sconsigliatissimo.
Cons: Costoso, Irrispettoso , Rischio per la salute

Many vegan options - Edit
Cute family owned place in Assisi's historic center. It looks like an ice cream shop, but they actually have a really good food menu with lots of labelled vegan options. The pasta with truffles (strangozzi al tartufo) was AMAZING - chewy noodles with tons of fresh truffles and truffle oil, very flavorful.

Fine - Edit
I liked the quirky interior and the friendly staff. The vegan options were limited though, but in the context of Assisi/Italy let's give them credit for making an effort and having a few options.

Not the best but still go - Edit
I spent the summer in Assisi and still have a place there. I went to Monnalisa Caffe quite a bit for a salad, a glass of white wine, and people watching.
Read moreI love the chaotic staff and the fact that they are at least trying to serve vegan food. It’s not bad, it’s just not the best.
Ill go back again!
Pros: Charming , Location , There are options- hey they are trying!
Cons: Not the best , Still a bit limited

Not worth it - Edit
First of all, they have a big icon on the door saying they have vegan food, and outside there is also the vegan menu.
Read moreThe waitress didn’t speak english or spanish, so it was really difficult to communicate (she apparently also didn’t understand my pretty basic italian, although it worked for my entire trip🤷🏼♀️). I know no one is obligated to speak more than one language but this issue made it quite hard to talk or ask for anything. When I tried to show her phrases on Google Translate, she just didn’t wanted to read them so that made me annoyed, because I was trying my best to try to speak in italian with her.
Now the “food part”. I tried to order the Polpette di Soia but after like 10/15 minutes the waitress said they didn’t have it, so I showed the vegan menu that was on the door and (I believe that) she said the only option was the burger (which was okay, because it was my second choice).
When she put the cutlery on the table, the fork was DIRTY. Which was the worst of all (and of course I asked for a new one).
Well, it took forever for the food to come. The couple that came in after me got to eat 2 plates while I was still waiting. The waitress even asked if I had received my plate, which I haven’t.
When it FINALLY arrived, the bread was old and kinda “hard”, so I just ate the burger and the salad, which were decent, but nothing special.
Cons: Options not available, Dirty fork, Difficult to communicate

Not as many vegan options at night - Edit
We asked for a few things but they weren’t available at night. We both ordered the spaghetti with truffle oil. The juices we ordered were nice. But the spaghetti was very bland and tasteless. I was asked what I thought at the cafe and I should have been honest but I said it was fine. It really wasn’t and I should have said something.im annoyed at myself because they’d probably appreciate the feedback. I might email them

two options vegan - Edit
Nice place and very kind staff. In the menu there are two vegan dishes: the flan with chickpea flour (to try, very good) and the soy burger accompanied by a large variety of small portions of vegetables prepared in different ways (that's why I recommend it! 'expensive, but the cover is already included in the price). Dishes presented with care and generous portions. Bright room and nice atmosphere
