Lots of variety and delicious - Edit
I've been 3 times now and had a variety of things with my brother and husband. Husband and brother are not vegans and loved it. We had cinnamon scrolls, a pandan bun, Reuben, breakfast, and buffalo chicken bagels, kimchi potato puff and mushroom and truffle and cauliflower danishes. Everything so so good! It's a lovely atmosphere and decent parking compared to newtown. Pandan bun was a tad bitter. But some people like that.

Australia’s most innovative bakery - Edit
Exactly what the title says. We’ve come to miss sina twice now on our regular visits to Sydney and both times have not disappointed. This time we managed to get a couple piccies before devouring our delicious meals - we grabbed one of the much desired jalpeno Korean bagels, and a recommendation I saw here on happy cow - the katsu. Both were incredible but that bagel was truly unique, a must try for anyone visiting miss sina/sydney.
Read moreAlso the chai latte and hot choc were both absolutely incredible, I don’t think you can get anything bad from here.
Pros: Korean bagel , Katsu, Hot chocolate
Cons: It’s not in Melbourne :(

Yum yum great snacks - Edit
HIGHLY recommend the filled pretzels, we had the corn & Jalapeño one as it was the only one on offer, but seriously the best “pretzel” I’ve had…so soft and fluffy, melt in your mouth! (And of course the flavour explosion to accompany!)

Bliss - Edit
Was blown away by the selection and then by the taste and quality of everything we ordered (and we ordered a lot!) I also arranged a birthday cake with a personal message and this was beautiful and enormous (ordered the small option). The Korean bagel, I ordered the special which was jalapeño cheese and corn was sensational as were the creme brûlée donut, the savory danish’s and the scrolls. I could not ask for more and will be making the trip anytime I’m in Sydney.

Yummy Baked Goods! - Edit
My friend and I missed the time slot for the kitchen availability so we didn’t get to try the food off the menu. The crookie, kunefe and cinnamon scrolls were also sold out. We tried some of the baked goods and they were divine. The pastry of the vegan sausage rolls and kimchi triangles were buttery and the filling was just right. My friend is a non vegan and she was amazed that the filling tasted like real pork sausage rolls. We were filled with just 2 pastry baked goods. If you enjoy the bitter but earthy taste of matcha then you’ll love their strawberry matcha. And if you’re looking for something refreshing to quench your thirst, you’ll love their yuzu lemonade! The chocolate mousse cake was just right, not overly sweet.

Missed Seein’ this place - Edit
As per the heading, I’d been overlooking this place for years because it was wrongly categorised on HC as a bakery rather than a cafe, so on this visit to Sydney I made it a destination. (HC have progressively complicated their classification system over time making it less helpful than it used to be.) It’s kind of nice that the cafe is in the middle of the burbs in a relatively quiet location. There is a huge array of baked goods on display, most of it too rich for me at breakfast time. We ordered the corn fritter breakfast burger and the c****** katsu sandwich. I generally like something quite plain and not too heavy in the morning, and, although it reportedly contained spicy mayo, the burger met these criteria. The fritter was nice but a bit longer cooked than I anticipated. I actually preferred the sando, which surprised me, and the katsu was tender and the dish quite light. I felt like we had to try something from the bakery, so I chose the lamington, about the only thing there that wouldn’t have made me pass out from a sugar OD. It was delicious, moist, not overly sweet, and contained real cherry compote rather than jam from Coles. The two oat milk coffees I had were hot and beautifully prepared. Miss Sina has cemented its position on my list of breakfast spots in Sydney.

Pros: No risk of accidental implication in animal abuse, Delicious breakfast options and good coffee, Pleasant location

It was wrongly classified from the outset. HC has overcomplicated its classification system, particularly given it is supposed to prioritise finding vegan options. My particular point of irritation was the creation of a Coffee/Tea classification, which is not helpful at all. It should be used a feature of an eatery, not a class of eatery.

Fantastic food - Edit
Food was fantastic. Range of baked goods/pastries is amazing. Unfortunately one of the employees was visibly annoyed when my partner asked to replace/omit avocado from their meal. We had the summer drinks which were a bit lacking in flavour. Everything was extremely well priced.

Sweet pastries! On the pricy side for me - Edit
Lovely shop with a wide selection. Would love to see more savory pastries in the future! But good savory meal options at least. Would love some cheaper options, even if it meant smaller items; an entire sweet pastry can be too much for me.

Excellent eatery with helpful service and awesome food. The "chicken" katsu sandwich had amazing texture, and bread was so soft with crunch crust. The corn fritter burger was tasty, perhaps a little over fried.

Amazing vegan sweets - Edit
Their most famous dish is definitely the cinnamon bun and they are some of the best ones we have ever had. We came back just because of them. They also have a lot of other sweet options including different cakes, donuts, croissants and vegan bars. Also, they got savory options like pizza slices and different sandwiches. Highly recommend this café!

Lovely little spot, live locally and have been here a number of times, haven’t been disappointed by anything we’ve tried on the menu so far. The food here isn’t cheap but it’s in line with what you’d expect to pay at an inner west café these days.
Read moreI’m more of a savoury guy, but my partner has a sweet tooth and the cakes and desserts here are amazing. Heaps of gluten free options as well if that’s your thing. And the owner is really nice! Her other location in Surry Hills is definitely worth a visit too :)
Word of warning, they can get PACKED on a weekend. We’ve shown up before and not been able to get a seat and had to go elsewhere. Not their fault they are popular of course, it’s awesome to see a vegan place full, just be prepared to get there early on a Sunday or you’ll probably have to wait for a table (or get takeaway).
Pros: Great vegan breakfast options, Incredible sweet treats, Lots of gluten free stuff
Cons: They’re so popular you might not get a seat 😅
