My boyfriend and I were on a day trip in Málaga and were looking for a vegan restaurant via happy cow. So we went to Mimo. We were lucky to get a table in the small bistro. The staff was super nice and we really love the concept of them using local, seasonal and organic products. And everything is gluten-free. We each had a Starter, Main Dish and a Dessert. It was all super delicious and the presentation of the food like art. I can only recommend to stop by here when you visit Málaga.

The customer service is top notch and the food is complex and nuanced with flavor and texture. I had a rich, nutty “vegan Guinness” shot, the intricate, veggie-centric buckwheat risotto “kashotto”, and the flavorful creme brûlée. Between the intimate atmosphere (you share a room with the small kitchen), charming and amiable staff, and the complex flavors, this was one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in a while.

Really inventive vegan dishes. We had the artichoke, the crazy potato and the sushi dishes and all were excellent. The cocktails were amazing too. The waiter was so friendly and knowledgable. Really accommodating with our fussy child as well. We wanted to return for lunch but sadly ran out of time on our holiday. Hoping to return some day to try out more of the menu 🙂

This is a labour of love. Lots of fresh, whole foods assembled with passion. What comes to your table is yummy and highly artistic. Your server explains every last ingredient in the dish with pride. Portions are small, so ordering a starter, main, dessert and coffee are good if you have an appetite. I love the fact that they are gluten and sugar free. That’s hard to find at many vegan / vegetarian restaurants. It’s a bit more expensive, but you truly get the ‘bistro’ experience.
