GNOCCHI & PUDDING - Edit
There was so much we wanted to try - so we can’t wait to return! We loved how fresh everything was and tasted. Everything was hot right off the stove, and the oat milk chocolate pudding was so good (and we aren’t pudding people!) we went with the chef’s suggestion of fresh berry compote. *always go with the Chef’s suggestion!

Gnocchi and Pudding!! - Edit
You can tell this little food stand, located inside the beautiful Essex Market, is a special spot as soon as you walk up. From the homeyness of the facade—decorated with lamps, personal photos, cute illustrations, and news articles about the owner— to the emphasis they put on using natural ingredients, and the aroma of humble Italian cooking welcoming you when you order. The gnocchi with tomato basil sauce was simple yet comforting. Additionally, their homemade vegan chocolate pudding was a rich and creamy surprise. They have a handful of other vegan options for plant-based Italian food lovers. While I was satisfied, I wonder if one other their other options would impress me more. Definitely recommend.

Mom-and-pop food stall - Edit
Though listed on HC as a restaurant, this is really a food stall within the Essex Market. There are a bunch of places in the Essex Market that offer one or two vegan items--the standout is the all-vegan Rebel Cheese stall. Mille Nonne, although not all vegan, does offer a nice selection of clearly marked vegan items.

Love in every bite - Edit
Bernardo and Pilar (she is the chef) are the most amazing duo. They treated me like I was part of the family even though it was my first visit. There is so much genuine warmth of hospitality and the love of good food. They say the menu is filled with plant options for health and reducing food waste, which is why they also do not use any processed foods. Hard to believe they make everything in their tiny space. The chocolate mousse is delicious!

Delicious! - Edit
The owners are simply delightful! The food was excellent, hearty, and filling. They took the time to discuss any and all allergens with me. They even gave us a sample of the chocolate orange pudding! We tried the eggplant pasta and eggplant parm sandwich. It was reasonably priced and delicious! A great casual eatery.

Fantastic! - Edit
Healthy vegan and vegetarian options, like pasta with tomato and eggplant, gnocchi, veggies of the day. Vegan chocolate pudding with candied orange is out of this world.
