Good Value for Lunch and Brunch - Edit
This is just an update regarding the brunch they host on Saturdays.
Read moreIt's 90% vegan, including pancakes, and plenty of hot dishes and salads. All for 9.5€, which I think it's a good value.
Booking a table is adviced, as it's very popular.
If you have already tried other vegan places in Riga, this is a good spot to check out as well!

Visited in August 2016.
I was not so eager to go to Miit after reading the previous reviews; but I'm glad I actually gave it a chance.
I don't know whether they have changed recently; but I found it to be very vegan friendly.
For start, the lunch menu (soup + main) from Monday to Friday is always all-vegan. They also had vegan ice-cream and sweets.
And, for dinner, the staff mentioned that they have many vegan options (I haven't been for dinner yet).
The lunch set is great (less than 5 euros for small soup and main); and, personally, I found it to be a much better value than other places in Riga where you can eat a vegan-friendly lunch, tastewise and amount-wise.
Coffee was also great, by the way.
Staff speaks English, was friendly and seemed to have knowledge about veganism; so I would say it's a safe place to eat as a vegan.
I'd certainly visit again.

Yes, yes, yes to Miit: great food, small prices, amazing dessert and (I bet) kicking coffee - Edit
Miit has that vibe of trendy coffee shop where they take their coffee very seriously. It so happens I do not drink the stuff so I cannot comment on it, but I can tell you that you will want to stop by this place for their super well priced, tasty and generous lunch!
Read moreI had their small set menu (means small soup rather than large, lunch menus are always vegan they told me) for (if I remember right!) 5 or 6 euros. That day they were serving a lovely red cabbage soup and a very innovative Mexican falafel bowl: the bottom was well seasoned raw cauliflower cous cous, topped by falafel balls and a salad of fresh tomatoes and fresh mango! Yum! it felt so healthy and fresh but also a bit indulgent and filling.
Otherwise you can get veggie or vegan sandwiches for 3.50 euros: bargain!
If you have a sweet tooth, the main draw here will be the dessert: their dessert cabinet has at least 15 different options, of which around ten are vegan. Over several visits I tasted their vegan brownie (lovely!), their snicker bar (very generous size to be made from scratch and only 2 euros) and their raspberry coconut bounty bar (same: cheap and big!), but there was also a cherry Latvian cake I didn't get to try and much more.
The main room at Miit (there is at least another one) is simple, light and airy, with a hint of studenty hip cafe' to it. Plenty of poster and other info on the walls and some of the staff have skater steez, but zero attitude which is great.
I would say it is worth coming to Miit even just for dessert... but their lunches are too good to commit to that statement, so come to have both lunch and a sweet treat and you will love them just as I do.
Pros: Their lunch set menu is great value for money!, The savoury food is tasty and even innovative!, Their sweets are just to die for: lots of choice!
Cons: None at all!

The burger with a beans patty and some pesto dressing. I ordered fries which were also good. Both cost me 7€. Size of both items was good and a very good relationship quality-price. The place is cozy and also suitable for working on your stuff.

Good vegan food - Edit
Nice Café with friendly staff. We ordered burgers, which were delicious and creative. I'd prefer the bun more cross, but that's a matter of taste. We also had different choices of humus with olives. The humus was well flavored. No junk food, it's more on the healthy side.

We went there three days in a row for lunch as it was few minutes by walk from the place that we rent.
Read moreEvery time, we tried something different and we were always amazed.
The food is good, freshly made and change everyday. It also cheap for the big portion. (like 5/6euros for a main and a soup).
The deserts and sweets are really well made and also cheap. We tried the brownie, the bounty, the snicker...etc
The coffee selection is large and will satisfy everyone for sure.
Definitely my fav in Riga ! Can't wait to go back ;)

Great coffee place with basic lunch - Edit
Nice place with a perfect relaxed coffee-shop atmosphere to sit down and work/read a good book. I loved the fancy bike-inspired decoration.
Read moreI can't say anything about the coffee since we came there for lunch: there was one option of soup and a main dish. Our main was a kind of vegetable-curry with chickpeas which was not spectacular or super-creative but still very tasty.
The portion was unfortunately not very filling/big and I was still hungry afterwards.
Pros: Nice atmosphere, Healthy vegetarian food
Cons: Portions not really big

They have no idea if their food vegan! Beware!!! - Edit
I'be been there twice. First time I was waiting for 40 minutes for my salad just to find out that they forgot about it. When it finally arrived it contained huge chunks of zucchini! I like zucchini noodles sometimes but these were really huge pieces! And the second time they'v sold me a cookie assuring me it is vegan!!! I asked few times! And when I tried it I really felt milk inside! I went back to make sure again that it is vegan(who knows) and guys had to call someone to find out I WAS NOT VEGAN at all!!!! So beware!!!! They have no idea what are they selling! And you can end up full of animal products inside you!!!!!!! Not a chance that I'll be back there!!!
