The egg and fruit cream sandwiches were delicious. The potato salad was also delicious but I think I would have had a 2nd sandwich instead if I could. Breakfast has a very limited menu so try coming here after 10:30 for lunch service.

Mercy for whom? - Edit
The name "mercy vegan factory" can be explained in two ways. It can mean they show mercy to the animals by producing vegan food. But it can also be a request to the customer to have mercy on the chef. As much as I hate to bad mouth such a well meant establishment (and sponsor of Happy Cow), I didn't care for the food.
Read moreActual set dinner is only available after reservation the previous day. So I had to select some random items from the menu: fried wheat, rice and miso soup. The wheat is very much deep fried and tastes more like fried dough than anything else.
The soup was mostly a very strong broth and the plain rice was, well... plain.
Perhaps I just ordered the wrong items from the menu (didn't try the gimbap, which might have been a mistake) or perhaps my taste differs from that of the chef, but 3 stars is the best I can do. Have mercy.

We had such a tasty meal here we had to come back on our last day in Osaka! You can see the food being prepared in the kitchen which is great, the atmosphere is friendly and relaxed, and the food is both delicious and beautifully presented. The menu also spells out the health benefits of each meal.

We ordered a fried vegetable curry , miso soup, a fried wheat (great chicken like texture, cannot remember the name of the actual dish), potato salad and the sushi selection.
Everything bar potato salad was delicious, so would definitely recommend.
They also had a wide range of deserts which looked vegan cream based and sandwiches, like an egg sandwich. (didn’t try but looked very intriguing)

Opted for the egg mayo sandwich here after seeing the good reviews on Happy Cow - it did not disappoint!! By far the best vegan egg mayo sandwich that I have ever had (and I have tried my fair share!!). Also tried the cauliflower which was delicious - the sauce was great! And the apple pie/tart which was incredible!!!!

I had the salted bread roll, strawberry cake and strawberry cream sandwich and they were all sooo good! I’ve found a lot of cakes in Japan to be quite dry but these were so creamy and lovely. It’s a bit out of the way but worth it if you love sweet food.

This place is delicious. The egg sandwich was absolutely amazing. With the way it looked and tasted it was hard to believe it was vegan. The potato salad was unique in a great way. The fried cauliflower had great texture and light enough not to upset your stomach but filling. Don’t even get me started on the strawberry sandwich! Tasted exactly like a strawberry shortcake

Bit of a let down - Edit
Had high hopes for this place for a morning coffee and cake, they don’t actually do anything other than black coffee with soy cream. The chocolate cake was nice and not badly priced but the fruit sandwich was literally a piece of white bread with strawberries and cream for ¥1,350!! It does look like it would be a nice place to work from and the service was quick.

Had a really nice dinner at Mercy Vegan Factory. Knowing my big appetite, I ordered the gimbap, a miso soup, a side of 5pcs of kurumafu, a tea and a little panna cotta for desert. Everything was really delicious and it all hit the spot 🙌🏼 It was a bit on the expensive side but I’m happy to support fully vegan places and the food was truly tasty. Lovely restaurant with vegan desserts, but a bit overpriced - Edit
The food was great! As a vegan, I was thrilled to have a selection of vegan desserts which are hard to come by in Japan. I enjoyed the sweet and sour cauliflower (~1200 yen) and the strawberry sponge cake (~1200 yen). However, it is a quite expensive for rather small portion sizes. You will probably need to order more than one dish to satisfy your hunger.
