Not sure where to begin...

I can't believe one of the only photos I have from the hundreds of times I've bought their cookies.. I have the time that I got a holiday platter, haha.

Every single veg fest that Maya's is in attendance.. I will be driving to it, and whenever I'm in SD.. it's mandated to pick some up.

Maya's bakes the very best cookies ever.. this isn't a lie. I dream about her cookies when I'm away from them... every single flavor is a HIT.

The birthday cake is my favorite and the marbles.. whenever they have the ube cookies.. HONEY, it's OVER.. they are the best cookies in existence.

Not to mention... Maya is a complete angel, she's the nicest business owner I've met in many years. I am just so happy to support them and wish I lived next door to them, but I guess it's better for me, haha.

Pros: So many flavors, Friendly service, always!

Yum!!

These cookies are massive and they are incredibly flavorful! I had the “everything” cookie, it was true to its name, it had all the flavors you could want in a cookie! I’ve had cookies like this before and they were too salty for me, but this one was the perfect well rounded flavor profile! Delicious!

Also, we got them at the Little Italy farmers market and the vegan second Saturday farmers market in north park. I had no idea they had a brick and mortar. I’m excited to try their ice cream!

Next trip got the Texas sheet cake. It really did taste like chocolate cake!

Got the happy hour chocolate chip cookie and the peanut butter Oreo cookie. The chocolate chip was amazingly delicious for how simple it is, the pb Oreo middle had what looked like a Reese’s on top of the Oreo and was incredible to bite into, the surrounding cookie part wasn’t quite as exciting.

Addiction

Is what I would have if I lived in proximity to this place. I’ve been wanting to come here for years and finally got the chance yesterday at the San Diego Vegan Food Festival. Ordered chocolate chip, marble fudge, s’mores, and others. All delicious!

A solid cookie

Maya's is a regular presence at vegan food fairs/markets. The chocolate chip, smores, and 'everything' cookies we have had were very good. I wouldn't go out of my way, but would definitely try others if I have a sweet craving and see their booth.

The best cookies!

Back in April we visited Maya's stand at the Pacific Beach farmer's market and got to meet Maya herself! We weren't able to try all flavors, but the ones we had were incredible, especially s'mores. Whenever we find ourselves missing these delicious cookies in Philadelphia we have a variety shipped.

Mouthwatering cookies

Wonderful to be able to shop for tasty Maya's Cookies at the bakeshop. As good as they are when enjoyed via mail order, these are even more delicious. Freshly baked. Menu changes daily.
Bought an assortment of the day's flavors. Two specials for Juneteenth. The 'MVP' honoring Magic Johnson, luscious chocolate, coconut, pecan cookie, reminiscent of the magic cookie bars, yet better. The 'grand slam' honoring Serena Williams, chocolate goodness. The wheat free option of the day was the 'drunken grandma,' delightful oatmeal raisin like grandma would make.
Large cookies, soft, yet not mushy. Good crumbly texture.
Soft serve machine wasn't working, so didn't get to try it.
In person pricing more reasonable than mail order, of course.
Woman owned business.

Pros: 100% vegan, delicious cookies , Large, flavorful, great texture, Mail order available

Survived a flight!

My friend got me a half dozen cookies while in SD and surprised me with them! They survived the whole day and a flight back to Monterey. These cookies are SO delicious and I’m so happy I was finally able to try them! Large size as well which is a huge plus!
The iced sugar cookies is an absolute MUST!

Best Cookies. Ever.

I can’t believe I have never written a review for Maya’s. I have been in love with their cookies since moving to San Diego. They are almost always at the Hillcrest Farmers Market, and I treated myself to a subscription box a few months ago. Even the cookies from the subscription box are fresh and would make a wonderful gift for someone else (or, as I mentioned, yourself)! The cookies are soft, chewy, and absolutely delicious. There are many amazing flavors (including seasonal ones), and I love that it is Black-owned.

There are no cons about these cookies; I have given them to my non-veg family and friends and have all agreed they are simply delicious cookies. They have a brown sugar butterscotch cookie that is so good. I think it’s my all-time favorite cookie.

Treat yourself and try Maya’s!

Famous cookies for a reason

Had their cookies during San Diego Vegan Festival and they live up to the hype!!! I tried their famous smores cookie, chocolate chip cookie, lemon chiffon cookie, and white chocolate macadamia cookie. Out of the 4, my favorite was probably the lemon chiffon but I would be happy having any of them again!

Soft serve and cookies

What a great combo. Oately soft serve was delicious. Enjoyed the cookies as well, not quite as soft as I hoped for but still very good. So many flavors to choose from. Staff was super friendly!

Yum!

I was gifted the Classic Holiday Collection tin by a family member and all four flavors were great! My favorite was probably the sugar cookie as it was perfectly crisp on the outside and soft on the inside. Would definitely recommend to vegans and non-vegans!

SO SO SO GOOD!!

I bought two of their cookies yesterday in Long Beach at a small vegan event. My favorite was the classic chocolate chip but I also loved the marble fudge.

I hope that they will open more storefronts so more people can taste their delish cookies. They do offer shipping also (as of July 2021, shipping from San Diego to the Los Angeles area is $10.00).

Pros: Delish

The Best Cookies in San Diego

Without reservation I'd recommend Maya's Cookies to anyone, vegan or not. My personal favorite is the Birthday Cake, a sugar cookie covered in crunch rainbow sprinkles. Chocolate chip cookie dough can be ordered ahead for pick up as well. Her end of the year gingerbread cookies are not to missed.

Pros: All vegan
