Such a cool place! - Edit
I came here after having some major curry cravings and let me just say, I was not disappointed in the slightest!
Read moreFirstly, I love the fact that this is a meat free establishment and that everything is labelled so that there’s no confusion - I would say more than half the menu is vegan which is a huge plus!
Furthermore, the food is delicious and filling - and for once when ordering something with a 4/5 spice level, it actually came spicy, unlike practically every Indian restaurant I have been to in SE Asia.
The lassi was incredible, the paratha flaky and the dosa was delicious!
My only downside is that there didn’t seem to be that many dessert options which is quite a shame, but that’s just me being picky!
10/10 recommend!!

Every dish can be vegan 🌱 - Edit
Such tasty Indian (fusion) food! They have dishes that you won’t find veganized at other Indian restaurants. I highly recommend anything with vegan meat replacement, their dosas and their tandoori dishes! They come serve on a hot sizzling plate 🤤 The dosa was incredibly crispy. Everything was fresh and so flavorful

Lots of options, a bit expensive - Edit
The menu is great for vegans, with a vegan option for most meals. They even have cashew cheese! We ordered the aubergine and tofu dosas. I wouldn’t recommend the aubergine one but tofu was quite good. It was quite expensive and I wouldn’t say the food is stand out, but the staff were friendly and it’s a nice place.

Some of the tastiest food of our whole trip! - Edit
Masala Dosa was the last place me and my partner went to eat on our 3 week trip across Vietnam + Cambodia - and boy did we go out with a bang!
Read moreThe food at Masala Dosa was super tasty and the atmosphere was very friendly and welcoming! We had the samosa chat and the cauliflower pakoras to start which we both delicious and honestly hit every tastebud. We then both had a naan sense bowl (keema + mushroom) and again the flavours here were amazing.
The service as a whole was great although the app ordering was a bit annoying given there were only 10 people in the place. The price was reasonable though and there was even live music.
One thing to mention is that the 'V' symbol means vegan and the 'VE' is the veggie option - very odd!
Overall a great spot for some delicious Indian food.
Pros: Incredibly flavoursome, Reasonably priced
Cons: Not fully vegan, App based ordering

A must-try in the city - Edit
There are soooo many delicious Indian meals I’ve never encountered in my life before. Shoutout to the chef! I think their whole menu is vegan, and you can make some dishes vegetarian, which seems like a detail but it was a refreshing take (as usually it’s the other way around).

Unique Indian Recipes at a High Price - Edit
I usually focus on local foods, but unfortunately Cambodia isn’t the most veg-friendly cuisine.
Read moreSo I decided to give Masala Dosa a try. The menu has some fresh spins in traditional Indian dishes. The dosa was one of the best I had had during my travels in SE Asia. I even got a vegan mango lasi.
The downside is that eating here has American / European prices.

Clearly labelled vegan food, a bit pricey but worth it - Edit
The ordering is done via your smartphone, and payment can be processed digitally depending on your payment method. The staff needed to help with the online ordering system, but once you do it once, it's easy and fast.
Read moreThe food is more expensive than the Cambodian average, but you get what you pay for. The food is generally high quality. When ordering via smartphone, there is a "vegan button" that can be pressed that can veganise the food or drink. There seems to be a vegan button for most if not all food on the menu. This makes it very easy to order vegan.
I had a guacamole dosa and tandoori soy chaap as well as chai tea. The dosa was nice and creamy. The soy chaap was a little dry but was okay. The chai tasted delicious.
The staff are very helpful and attentive. The restaurant is near the Royal Palace, which at night is a lively area, so if you are having dinner, go for a walk afterwards to soak in the atmosphere before heading back to the hotel.

Honestly some of the best food i have ever had. Got the masala with vegan meatball, some bread and some other fake meat. It was so so so sooooo good, i am so sad that i didnt get to eat here more. Oh and Google Maps sends you to their old location, the new one is down the same street. You HAVE to try this place!

Showing Vegetarian but Vegan! - Edit
Great experience, Fresh food with values, Listing shows Vegetarian but everything is Vegan. We had food without onion & garlic, Channa Masala Bowl & Stir-fry mix vegetable rice bowl total $10. Happycow app & masala dosa was recommended by a mate at the hotel we lived at. Place is listed wrong must be listed as Vegan not Vegetarian. Looking forward to visit again.

Great Food & Great Atmosphere! - Edit
One of the best Vegan cuisine in Cambodia. The entire menu we found was Vegan, We tried Vegan Mango Lassi, complementary Fresh Carrot juice they said many juices are going to be added in menu, Iced Chai Masala with Almond Milk, Vada pav (Delicious Bombay Burger), Smoked egg plant Dosa & Bombay Grilled sandwich prices are very fair compared to the portion and quality served. Staff is very friendly and polite. We loved the contactless ordering system, its like ordering directly to the kitchen. Will visit again!

Formerly vegan, now vegetarian - Edit
My comment in a discussion was unfortunately deleted for no reason, so, well, here's my own review: The food was good actualIy, i used to like the food, was a guest there several times. The owner was rather unfriendly, photos are forbidden (weird "rule"), ordering is only possible via phone. Prices have recently increased.
Read moreThe restaurant is no longer vegan, changed from vegan to vegetarian, that's pity. It seems confusing what is vegan and what is not. In my opionion it is also not right,
continue to call themselves "vegan". It can only be 100% vegan if only vegan products are processed in the kitchen.
So, unfortunately, i can no longer recommend the place to ethical vegans.

The best in Cambodia (Must Visit) - Edit
We usually don't have practice writing reviews, but we are so impressed with this place and the owner that we decided to write one. While passing by the street, we found this restaurant close to the riverside, near the Buddhist temple we visited. We tried Masala Chai with almond milk for $2.50, onion fritters for $3.50 for a big portion, and as a main course, my husband had spinach and tofu with garlic rice for $8, and I had a multi-grain Bombay Grilled/Vegan Mozzarella with Guacamole for $9. We still had food left for takeout. Everything tasted so fresh, you could actually feel it with every bite. The décor of the place is very interesting, especially on the first floor. We loved the colors and the décor. We tried many other vegetarian and vegan places, but Masala Dosa Street Kitchen in Cambodia has its own uniqueness. This is a must-visit place and a paradise for vegans.

Good food, but pricy - Edit
Near the bustling river, this little Indian restaurant had delicious food and lovely service. The mango lassi was delicious! Towards the end of the meal I ordered and extra avocado lassi, and the owner gave it free of charge (I think he already had printed the receipt, but still very generous!) Can easily do a riverside walk after eating here.
Read moreNote: When I went all the food was plant-based, but when I returned they served several dishes with dairy milk. :(
Note 2: Apparently now the menu is back to being all plant-based, due to push-back.
